This position plays a critical role in supporting month-end close activities, corporate reporting requirements, management decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Accounting, Operations, Human Resources, Treasury, and Corporate Controlling, the Senior Financial Analyst ensures accurate and timely financial information is delivered to key stakeholders while supporting operational and business performance.\nYour Mission\nCoordinate monthly Estimate, Flash, and Actual reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.\nPrepare, analyze, and report on Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, profitability, treasury activities, and working capital performance.\nPerform variance analysis and provide meaningful explanations for significant financial and operational fluctuations.\nDevelop and maintain monthly management reporting packages, presentations, and performance dashboards.\nConduct cost center, operating expense, sales, profitability, and business performance analysis.\nSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the organization.\nPartner with department managers and cost center owners to coordinate budget development and submissions.\nPrepare, validate, and upload financial, statistical, and planning data into corporate reporting systems.\nSupport treasury activities including cash flow reporting, banking administration, and credit approval processes.\nMaintain project and turnaround cost tracking models, monitor contractor costs, and support accrual reporting.\nComplete quarterly, half-year, and year-end corporate reporting requirements, including reporting templates and detailed variance analyses.\nPrepare ad hoc financial analyses, business cases, presentations, and decision-support reporting for management.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, controls, automation, and reporting accuracy.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and support special finance projects as required.\nYour Profile\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.\nCPA designation, or progress toward CPA certification, is considered an asset.\nMinimum three years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or accounting.\nExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, energy, forestry, or similar operational environment is preferred.\nStrong understanding of financial statements, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management.\nExperience working with SAP and financial reporting systems is preferred.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis.\nExperience with SmartView, Hyperion, Merlin, or similar reporting tools is considered an asset.\nStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain financial results to diverse stakeholders.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.\nDemonstrated professionalism, discretion, integrity, and sound business judgment.\nContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes and reporting quality.\nWhy Join Mondi?\nAt Mondi, you’ll be part of a global team shaping the future of sustainable packaging and paper.
