Security Specialist - Corporate Security, Digital Bank, Tokyo

Under the mission of “Money Forward. Move your life forward,” Money Forward aims to resolve the financial concerns and anxieties of individuals and businesses through the power of technology.

We have partnered with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new company in preparation for the launch of a new digital bank.

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Device Management specialist as part of this initiative.

This position involves employment with Money Forward, Inc., and a secondment to the new company (SMBC Money Forward Bank Preparatory Corporation). The evaluation system and employee benefits will follow the policies of Money Forward, Inc.

We are a startup team partnering with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new digital bank. This initiative aims to deliver more user-friendly, cost-effective, and timely financial services, providing an innovative back-office experience and creating financial flows that contribute to the growth of the Japanese economy.

Responsibilities

• Information gathering, understanding of latest technologies, and verification for major vendors such as Microsoft
• Operational management of tools such as EDR, CASB, and MDM
• Security risk management for internal systems and the use of external SaaS
• Construction of controls compliant with security guidelines
• Security incident response for internal systems
• Implementation and promotion of device security measures
• Implementation and deployment of frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS Benchmark

Requirements

• Basic understanding of computer science, including networks, operating systems, data structures, and cryptography
• Development experience in at least one programming language
• Professional English communication skills
• Hands-on experience in building and operating internal systems (CASB, DLP, MDM, EDR, Entra ID, etc.)

Language Requirements

- Japanese: Fluent

- English: TOEIC score of 700 or above

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or GCIH

- Deep understanding of authentication and authorization, including OIDC and OAuth

- Experience in security-related operations within the financial or FinTech sectors, such as compliance with FISC standards

- Experience in AI development and/or experience in using AI tools to improve development processes.
