MongoDB is an American database company founded in 2007 that built a document-oriented database storing records as flexible JSON-like structures rather than fixed relational tables. Its main commercial product is Atlas, a managed service running the database across the major public clouds with search, vector search, streaming and analytics layered on top, which now supplies the majority of company revenue. Headquartered in New York and listed on Nasdaq, it acquired the embedding model company Voyage AI in 2025 to strengthen its position in retrieval for artificial intelligence applications, and its database remains among the most widely used outside the relational world.

As the Lead, Early Talent Recruiting Coordination, you will lead a high-performing team that delivers global internship and new graduate hiring. You will own the coordination operating model from intake through offer-stage support, develop the team, strengthen the systems and partnerships that enable growth, and improve the experience for candidates and stakeholders.

This role is ideal for an operationally minded leader who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, and creating simple, effective systems in a fast-paced, global environment. You will balance regional needs with global priorities and help shape how MongoDB scales its early talent programs, recruiting operations, and industry engagement.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model.

What you’ll do

Lead and Develop the Team

  • Lead, coach, and develop Early Talent Program Coordinators supporting internship, new graduate, and entry level hiring globally.
  • Set clear expectations for performance, service quality, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Build an inclusive team culture grounded in accountability, continuous learning, and excellent stakeholder service.
  • Manage capacity, workload allocation, regional coverage, and development plans in partnership with Recruiting leadership.

Own Global Coordination Operations

  • Own the global operating model for Early Talent recruiting coordination, including intake, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer-stage support.
  • Establish service standards, operating rhythms, escalation paths, and documentation that enable reliable delivery across regions.
  • Forecast hiring demand and coordinate workload and resources to maintain service quality during peak periods.
  • Identify operational risks and implement solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Partner with Recruiting and Business Stakeholders

  • Partner with Recruiting leaders, recruiters, hiring managers, program management leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate hiring goals into effective operating plans.
  • Build trusted relationships across regions and communicate priorities, progress, risks, and decisions clearly.
  • Provide practical guidance on coordination workflows, interview logistics, candidate communication, and process adherence.
  • Represent the coordinator team in global planning and process-design discussions.

Improve the Candidate and Interviewer Experience

  • Champion a timely, clear, inclusive, and engaging experience for candidates, interviewers, hiring teams, recruiters, and Early Talent stakeholders.
  • Identify friction across the Early Talent hiring journey and prioritize improvements using feedback, data, and qualitative insights.
  • Partner with Recruiting Operations and other functional teams to improve handoffs and reduce avoidable delays.

Lead Programs, Events, and Enablement

  • Lead global projects that strengthen recruiting operations, standardize effective practices, and increase the impact of the Early Talent function.
  • Coordinate industry and Early Talent recruiting events under Opening Doors to Discovery and Early Talent, partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-quality experiences.
  • Evaluate opportunities to use technology, automation, and reporting to improve coordinator effectiveness and service delivery.
  • Define team metrics, monitor trends, and translate insights into focused action plans.

What success looks like

In your first 6-12 months, you will:

  • Establish a clear operating model, service standards, and performance measures for the global coordinator team.
  • Build effective partnerships with Recruiting and Early Talent leaders across regions.
  • Improve visibility into capacity, workload, service delivery, and operational risks to support better planning.
  • Deliver meaningful improvements to the candidate, interviewer, and stakeholder experience.
  • Create a scalable foundation for Early Talent hiring and recruiting event execution as MongoDB grows.

What you bring

Required

  • At least 1 year of experience leading, coaching, or managing people, with evidence of developing others and building team effectiveness.
  • Experience in recruiting coordination, university or Early Talent recruiting, candidate experience, recruiting operations, program operations, or a closely related field.
  • Strong operational judgment and experience improving processes, managing competing priorities, and building scalable ways of working.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, and time zones in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A proactive, resourceful approach and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining a high standard of service and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, equitable, and thoughtful candidate and employee experiences.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting global internship, new graduate, or other Early Talent programs.
  • Experience leading recruiting events or high-volume hiring programs.
  • Experience establishing service standards, operating metrics, capacity plans, or quality measures.
  • Experience using recruiting and collaboration technologies such as Greenhouse, Zendesk, Google Workspace, reporting tools, workflow automation, or similar platforms.
  • Experience partnering with Recruiting Operations, HR, People Operations, or other cross-functional business teams.
