We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and who is motivated by the opportunity to have a big impact on your team, customers, and MongoDB's business.\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING\nAs a Renewals Specialist at MongoDB, you will be responsible for managing the renewal process for our Public Sector customer base, ensuring the seamless continuation of their partnerships with MongoDB while maintaining strong customer relationships and retention outcomes. You will work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to navigate the unique procurement, contracting, and compliance requirements associated with Public Sector customers.\nRENEWAL MANAGEMENT\nProactively manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned Public Sector accounts, owning timelines, coordination, and execution to drive strong retention and renewal outcomes\nUnderstand the unique considerations associated with government and Public Sector customers, including procurement requirements, contracting processes, budget cycles, and compliance considerations.\nEngage customers approximately 120 days in advance of renewal to understand requirements, establish timelines, and proactively address potential obstacles to renewal.\nPrepare renewal quotes, order forms, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with MongoDB policies and applicable Public Sector requirements.\nNavigate longer and more complex procurement cycles, coordinating closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure renewals are completed within required timelines.\nPartner with account executives and other sales stakeholders to identify opportunities for expansion, consolidation, or changes to existing agreements.\nMaintain accurate renewal forecasts and ensure CRM data reflects the latest customer, commercial, and procurement status.\nDATA ANALYSIS & FORECASTING\nUtilize CRM, reporting, and other data tools to track renewal performance, forecast outcomes, and identify at-risk accounts.\nMonitor renewal timelines, customer engagement, procurement milestones, and other indicators to proactively manage the Public Sector renewal portfolio.\nProvide regular updates to management on renewal status, risks, opportunities, and key performance metrics.\nCROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION\nWork closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, Deal Desk, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to Public Sector renewals.\nPartner with Public Sector sales teams to align on account strategy, customer engagement, commercial terms, and renewal execution.\nCoordinate internal resources to address customer-specific contracting, procurement, security, and compliance requirements.\nHelp establish repeatable processes and best practices for managing the unique complexities of Public Sector renewals.\nWE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH:\n2+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales, renewals, account management, or revenue role within a fast-paced, competitive environment.\nDemonstrated experience owning deals or commercial outcomes through close, including renewals, expansions, or contract execution.\nExperience working with Public Sector, government, education, or other highly regulated customers\nFamiliarity with Public Sector procurement processes, contracting requirements, government buying cycles, or cooperative purchasing vehicles is a plus.\nA track record of strong performance against defined targets, metrics, or goals.\nOutstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience, both internally and externally.\nStrong problem-solving, organization, project management, and negotiation skills.\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent renewals with varying levels of complexity while maintaining attention to detail and meeting critical deadlines.\nTalent for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, procurement teams, and cross-functional partners.\nAbility to navigate complex processes and proactively identify and resolve obstacles to successful renewal execution.\nSelf-motivated with a strong drive to succeed and the ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment.\nPrior exposure to database, cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise technology is a plus.\nWHY JOIN NOW \n\nMongoDB invests heavily in the development of each of our new hires & continuous career development.\nBest in breed Sales training, including our comprehensive GTM Academy and development programs.\nGenerous and competitive benefits (parental leave, fertility & wellbeing support).\nFriendly and inclusive workplace culture - Life at MongoDB.\nAbout MongoDB\nMongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market.
