AI-enabled workflows, and self-service capabilities that reduce manual effort and shorten close, planning, and procurement cycles\nStay ahead of fintech trends, ERP and finance platform best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them where they create value\nProduct & Engineering Leadership\nLead and mentor a team of Product Managers and Engineers, setting clear goals, quality standards, and delivery expectations\nEstablish product management and engineering practices for the Finance domain, including discovery, requirements, prioritization, agile delivery, release management, and measurement\nEnsure PMs and Engineers work as one team, with shared ownership of outcomes and not just feature delivery\nProvide career development, coaching, and technical growth opportunities for team members\nNetSuite Engineering & Platform Ownership\nLead the NetSuite engineering team responsible for the design, development, and ongoing health of MongoDB's NetSuite environment, which serves as the financial system of record\nSet technical direction and standards for NetSuite development, including SuiteScript (1.0, 2.0, 2.1), SuiteFlow workflows, SuiteTalk, SuiteQL, saved searches, and custom records and objects\nOwn the NetSuite release and change management lifecycle, including sandbox strategy, code review, testing, deployment, and management of semi-annual NetSuite releases and feature updates\nDrive technical debt reduction, including rationalizing legacy customizations and scripts, improving performance, and moving toward configuration and standard functionality where it makes sense\nOversee NetSuite integrations with CRM, billing, banking, tax, procurement, planning, and data warehouse systems, ensuring they are reliable, monitored, and well documented\nPartner with Product Managers to translate finance requirements into NetSuite solutions, and with Finance process owners to evaluate when to configure, customize, or buy\nEnsure NetSuite changes meet SOX and IT general controls, including segregation of duties, role and permission design, change approvals, and audit-ready documentation\nManage the relationship with NetSuite/Oracle and implementation partners, including licensing, support escalations, and roadmap alignment\nEstablish support and incident response practices, with clear SLAs, root cause analysis, and monitoring for business-critical processes such as month-end close\nDomain Leadership Across Finance Functions\nTax: Partner with Tax to enable accurate and automated sales and use tax, VAT/GST, withholding, and indirect tax compliance, including tax engine integrations and reporting\nTreasury: Enable cash management, bank connectivity, payments, cash forecasting, FX and risk management, and intercompany funding workflows\nAccounting: Support record-to-report, general ledger, revenue recognition (ASC 606), consolidations, close automation, reconciliations, and fixed assets\nSource-to-Pay (S2P): Drive procurement, purchase-to-pay, vendor management, AP automation, spend controls, and expense management\nFP&A: Enable planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting platforms, with trusted data flowing from source systems into decision-ready analytics\nSystems Integration, Data & Architecture\nOwn the architecture and integration strategy for the finance application landscape, spanning ERP (e.g., NetSuite), CRM, billing, banking, tax, procurement, planning, and data warehouse systems\nOversee integrations built with iPaaS and API-based tools (e.g., Boomi, Celigo, MuleSoft) and REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability.\nPartner with Data teams to improve data quality, lineage, and the reporting and analytics that support decision-making.\nEvaluate build vs. buy decisions and lead vendor selection, implementation, and ongoing vendor management, including contracts and licensing.\nGovernance, Compliance & Risk\nEnsure finance systems meet regulatory and internal control requirements, including SOX, GAAP, ASC 606, and applicable data privacy regulations\nDefine and enforce governance standards for change management, segregation of duties, role-based access controls (RBAC), and data integrity\nSupport internal and external audits by providing system documentation, reports, and evidence\nManage operational reliability, incident response, and system performance for business-critical finance processes\nCross-Functional Partnership\nAct as a trusted advisor to Finance and executive leadership on technology capabilities, risks, and strategic initiatives\nTranslate business requirements into scalable solutions and communicate priorities, trade-offs, and progress clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders\nPartner with IT, Security, Legal, and Procurement to deliver cohesive, compliant solutions\nRequired Qualifications\n15+ years of experience in finance systems, fintech, or enterprise application product and engineering, with 4+ years leading teams that include Product Managers and Engineers, including NetSuite developers or engineers\nDeep, hands-on NetSuite expertise, including SuiteScript (1.0, 2.0, 2.1), SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk/REST/SOAP APIs, SQL/SuiteQL, and managing NetSuite implementations, upgrades, and releases at scale\nDemonstrated experience delivering technology solutions across multiple finance domains (e.g., Tax, Treasury, Accounting, S2P, FP&A)\nStrong working knowledge of finance and accounting processes such as record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, treasury operations, and planning and forecasting\nHands-on experience with ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365) and adjacent finance applications such as tax engines, treasury management systems, procurement and AP automation, close and reconciliation tools, and planning platforms\nStrong technical foundation in system integration and architecture, including APIs (REST/SOAP), SQL, and integration platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, Celigo or similar)\nProven ability to set product strategy, build roadmaps, and manage large cross-functional programs, including
