This role is essential for ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of our financial results, covering everything from the meticulous monthly close and intercompany eliminations to the preparation of our half-year and year-end external financial statements. If you thrive on technical accounting challenges, enjoy collaborating with global teams, and are passionate about continuous improvement, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial integrity and reporting efficiency.\nResponsibilities:\nMonth-End Close Process\nSupporting the monthly close process to ensure timely and efficient reporting, including review of divisional TB submissions and cash flows within the consolidation system.\nAssisting with the intercompany reconciliation and elimination process.\nCollaborating with finance teams to ensure financial reporting requirements are met.\nProviding technical accounting support to finance teams on complex accounting topics.\nExternal Reporting Process\nSupporting the year end and half year external reporting process.\nPreparation of financial statement sections, including review of submissions from global finance teams.\nOther Objectives\nSupport one-off projects, e.g., systems (ERP/reporting tools) implementation or upgrades.\nContinuously improving reporting outputs, processes, and systems.\nManage and build relationships with internal stakeholders and teams and external auditors.\nAbout You\nThe essentials:\n1-2 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a group reporting, audit, or technical accounting function, with exposure to group consolidations is highly desirable.\nA qualified chartered accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA).\nWorking knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).\nSkilled in Microsoft Excel.\nWorking knowledge of consolidation systems is an advantage.\nRelevant industry experience is an advantage.\nAbility to communicate and build strong relationships with local and global finance teams.\nAble to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment.\nAt Monks, we believe in fostering an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive.
