The Operator II makes minor process adjustments to ensure utilization and efficiency targets are achieved. Achieving targets requires an understanding of the recycling system as a complete unit, from material infeed, through shredding, to the weigh scales. The Operator II is required to perform changeovers, maintenance, and material sorting to maintain a stable system. Maintenance includes supporting preventative maintenance with thorough cleaning of equipment and routine maintenance tasks.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities :\nOwn shift performance, achieving targets for throughput and utilization\nPerform the daily operator preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality\nPerform start up and shut down procedures on all equipment\nPerform proper sorting techniques of scrap material, removing contaminates\nPerform the basic operator rhythms and hourly checks to validate parameters and equipment are operating as expected\nMaintain steady material feed rates at the shredder\nPerform shredder parameter adjustments to improve efficiency\nIdentify when shredder knives are dull, affecting throughput, and perform knife rotation\nRoutinely clear dust collecting equipment and bags for adequate airflow\nPerform material and color changes as scheduled \nPerform pellet die changes for material changes when needed (HDPE and PP)\nMaintain throughput through the pelletizer to achieve target hourly rate\nTroubleshoot and resolve basic downtime causes to restart the operation \nCommunicate all issues with the Supervisor to ensure escalation is achieved and resolution is sufficient\nPerform parameter adjustments on the pelletizing equipment to improve performance\nPerform basic knife changes, screen changes, pit clearing, obstructions in pipes/hoses, seal replacements, filter cleaning\nProduce quality reprocessed material that meets quality standards\nComplete required process documentation and audits to monitor and maintain a stable process\nUtilize IQMS to code downtime, report production values, and identify finished goods stored in bins\nObtain and maintain forklift operator certification\nRemove non-recyclable materials from reprocessing area and deliver to designated areas (metal, cardboard, other plastics)\nMaintain 5S structure in and around equipment, including overall facility layout\nContinuously perform equipment/facility cleaning procedures to meet expectations \nQualifications:\nStrong work ethic and ability to follow established processes\nAbility to work in high temperature environments\nMechanical aptitudes in hydraulics, pneumatics, and root cause analysis\nBasic hand tool use required\nPositive attitude, reliable, and flexible to changing environments\nAble to work with minimal supervision and direction\nAble to effectively communicate with team members\nObtain and maintain OSHA required Forklift certifications \nComprehensive Benefits & Perks:\n Financial Wellness: 401(k) retirement plan with company match and annual/quarterly bonus opportunities.\nHealth Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.\nSecurity: Short-term and long-term disability insurance.\nOptional Extras: Employee-paid voluntary life insurance and supplemental benefits.\nTime Off: Competitive PTO, paid holidays, and a company-paid Christmas shutdown.\nUnique Perks: Raffles for concerts, sports, and entertainment tickets.\n Locally sourced prize raffles.\n\nWho we are:\nMonoflo International, Inc. stands as a prominent provider of innovative and eco-friendly business-to-business reusable packaging solutions.
