Our portfolio of technology helps power our world ---come join our team and see how YOU can make a difference.\nJob Description:\nAP Accountant - Europe\nReporting to: Accounting Supervisor\nJob Summary:\nMonolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications.\nMPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self-motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our European subsidiaries.\nThe AP Accountant reports to Accounting Supervisor and will be based in Barcelona, Spain or Germany (Ettenheim or Munich).\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nRegistration and accounting of invoices, reconciliation of purchase invoices with purchase orders, verification of corresponding approvals and compliance with company policies and accounting rules. \nResolve payment issues and answer payment questions from company vendors\nAccount reconciliation and participation in closing processes.\nPreparing Audit ad-hoc requests.\nEnsure that foreign currency transactions and accounts are correctly accounted\nSupports VAT reporting and other statutories. \nSupports other accounting processes as needed. \nWork closely with other departments to guide on procedures related to vendor payments and company requirements. \nSupport in optimizing processes according to corporate policies.\nParticipates in automation and technology implementation and other process improvement initiatives. \nSupports Audits, SOX compliance \nSupport for ad-hoc projects as assigned.\n QUALIFICATIONS:\nBS/BA or technical degree in accounting, administration or related field\nAccounting/Admin. knowledge with 5 years’ experience \nIntermediate knowledge of Excel. \nFluent in Spanish and English (C1) (other EU language is a +)\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nExcellent analytical and organization skills. \nMonolithic Power Systems, Inc.
