The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in independently handling commercial contract negotiations. As a member of MPS’ Legal department, this person will work closely with other team members and collaborate with MPS’ internal stakeholders and business groups to provide strategic legal advice on commercial transactions.\nResponsibilities Include\nSupport and manage commercial contract negotiations with strategic partners and customers.\nCollaborate and advise internal clients on complex commercial transactions while thinking strategically about mitigating legal risks and providing practical, business-oriented guidance.\nAdvise and support sales and operations on a wide variety of complex commercial agreements, including direct engagements and supply agreements with customers and partners.\nReview, draft, and negotiate agreements with vendors and critical suppliers, partners, and customers in a complex supply chain.\nDevelop and customize novel agreements without use of templates.\nUse excellent business judgment to assess legal risk, drive projects, and identify pragmatic and creative legal and business solutions.\nBuild relationships with various teams and internal clients across the organization to collaborate, identify and resolve issues, and drive deals to completion.\nRequirements\nJ.D. from accredited law school and admitted to the bar in good standing.\n5+ years of legal practice experience at a law firm and/or in-house, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. \nKnowledge of commercial laws and substantial expertise with a wide variety of commercial transactions, including developing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with multi-national companies.\nAbility to shift priorities and handle multiple, competing tasks under tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.\nStrong organization, problem solving, and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise and build relationships with management, team members, and cross-functional partners.\nPassion for personal accountability and setting high standards is essential for success.\nAbility to travel.\nLocation\nKirkland, WA\nSan Jose, CA \nMPS offers a comprehensive benefits package.
