Our portfolio of technology helps power our world ---come join our team and see how YOU can make a difference.\nJob Description:\nSr. Accountant - Europe\nReporting to: Europe Controller\nJob Summary:\nMonolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications.\nMPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self-motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our local office activities in Barcelona, Spain as well as accounting and administrative support for other European subsidiaries.\nTheSr. Accountant reports to the Europe Controller and will be based in Barcelona, Spain.\nEssential Functions:\nProvide accounting and administration support for all European Subsidiaries. \nResponsible for maintaining bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, cash accounts and expenses, etc according to corporate guidelines and NIIFs\nPrepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate statutory tax and reporting requirements. Research tax and regulatory issues as needed. \nPrepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate tax credit, grants and European funds applications and reporting.\nReconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and/or reviewing journal vouchers, and providing management with timely and accurate reporting.\nIdentifies and proposes accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions, and helps to ensure that the day-to-day accounting and administration is consistent with corporate accounting policies, procedures and GAAP.\nSupports Audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.\nSupports budget process\nSupport for ad hoc projects as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBS/BA degree in accounting or related field.\nMin. 5 years’ experience in similar role\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent analytical and organization skills.\nIntermediate knowledge of Excel.\nFluent in Spanish and English (C1) (French/German (B2) is a +)\nMonolithic Power Systems, Inc.
