As a member of MPS’ Intellectual Property Group and Legal department, this person will work closely with other team members in building and maintaining MPS’ patent portfolio, and interacting with MPS engineering, product, and business groups to provide advice on all aspects of intellectual property.\nResponsibilities Include:\nIdentifying research that may be subject to filing of patent applications.\nParticipate in patent application preparation and prosecution world-wide.\nAnalyze patents and prepare infringement and validity opinions.\nConduct educational client seminars and courses on intellectual property.\nWork on developing strategy for R&D and Product groups on how they can develop an area, strengthen patents to support products.\nRequirements:\nMaster’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering.\nAdmitted to U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.\n4-6 years’ experience with a law firm and/or corporation.\nExperience with preparation and prosecution of US patents.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nJ.D. from accredited law schools is preferred.\nLocation:\nSan Jose, CA \nMPS offers a comprehensive benefits package.
