Five (5) years minimum of prior related work experience.\nSpecial Qualifications:\nValid Florida Driver’s License.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to work from a general outline of duties and responsibilities.\n\nAbility to perform technical or trades-based work that requires a solid understanding of basic algebra and statistics OR use of heavy equipment. Some of the tasks performed include participating in data collection and detailed analysis; reporting on the accomplishment of specific departmental goals and tasks; OR operating or repairing heavy equipment (bulldozers, cranes, graders).\n\nAbility to make decisions that govern activities as well as others.\n\nAbility to work with less than ten co-workers who are mostly engaged in the same activities.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe work is heavy and requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:\nBalancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. The amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.\n\nClimbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.\n\nCrawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.\n\nCrouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the legs and spine.\n\nFeeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with the skin, particularly that of the fingertips.\n\nGrasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.\n\nHandling: Picking, holding, or otherwise working, primarily with the whole hand.\n\nHearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discrimination in sound.\n\nKneeling: Bending the legs at the knees to come to a rest on the knees.\n\nLifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.\n\nManual Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.\n\nMental Acuity: Ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes.\n\nPulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.\n\nPushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward.\n\nReaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.\n\nRepetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.\n\nSpeaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, including the ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately and concisely.\n\nStanding: Particularly for sustained periods of time.\n\nStooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.\n\nTalking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, including those activities
