The AI Engineer will be part of the ground-floor team helping establish our presence in the region, working closely with the New York headquarters while building intelligent systems that support asset management, underwriting, originations, and business intelligence across Monticello.\nOur Tech Stack\nAt Monticello, we build and operate our data platform using modern, scalable technologies. As an AI Engineer, you’ll work hands-on with:\nAI Workflow Creation\nLarge Language Models (via AWS Bedrock and Claude Enterprise) for document extraction, analysis, and autonomous decision support\nAgent orchestration, context infrastructure, and agent in the loop workflows\nPython as the backbone for everything: AI pipelines, automation, backend services, and data engineering\nData Platform\nSnowflake as our cloud data warehouse\nDBT for modular, version-controlled data transformations\nAirflow for orchestration and workflow automation\nSQL for data modeling and analysis’\n\nInfrastructure & Delivery\nAWS for cloud infrastructure and services\nReact for front-end interfaces and internal tools\nGit for version control and CI/CD\n\nAbout Your Team\n\nYou'll join a small, collaborative team that builds the AI and data systems powering Monticello's real estate finance operations.\nWhat you'll own:\nDeveloping AI and human in the loop workflows that reduce manual work and accelerate insights across asset management, underwriting, and originations\nDesigning and building AI pipelines that extract structured data from unstructured documents - loan files, appraisals, financial statements, invoices\nBuilding full-stack internal tools (React + Python APIs) that put AI capabilities directly in front of business users\nYou'll also contribute to:\nData pipelines and warehouse architecture (Snowflake, Airflow, dbt)\nData quality frameworks and automated QC processes\nDashboards and reporting that drive portfolio decisions\nQualifications\nCore:\nExperience building and deploying AI solutions end to end\nStrong Python skills across AI, data engineering, and backend services\nHands-on experience with LLMs - agent orchestration, context infrastructure, document extraction pipelines\nFamiliarity with cloud AI services (AWS Bedrock preferred)\nAlso valuable:\nSQL and data modeling experience (Snowflake, dbt)\nFront-end development with React\nExperience working directly with non-technical stakeholders\nWe welcome applicants from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds.
