We're looking for an experienced hands-on finance leader who can help us become a 1st rate finance team through continuous learning, improvement, automation and systemisation. A leader that can help us scale from a local finance team to an efficient international finance function.\nYou will lead the Finance function, overseeing financial operations, controls, team leadership and business partnering while driving scalability and continuous improvement. You will also partner with FP&A on the monthly reporting cycle, cash flow management and budgeting & forecasting rounds. And you will partner with the business to enable continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.\nAs a fast-growing healthcare business, things move quickly here. We're looking for someone who enjoys pace, thrives on variety, and can bring structure, clarity, and commercial thinking to a constantly evolving environment.\nWhile we offer flexibility, this role requires attendance at our Winnersh office at least once per week to support collaboration with key stakeholders and maintain a strong connection to the business.\nWe can only consider candidates who are immediately available or have a notice period of no more than two weeks.\nWhat will you be doing?\nLead the day-to-day Finance function ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.\n\nManage and develop a growing Finance team including the Accounting Team, AP, AR & Payroll, providing support, coaching, and direction.\n\nSupport the development of a scalable finance operating model, including international expansion and strategic growth initiatives.\n\nMaintain a robust financial control environment, overseeing risk management, tax compliance, statutory reporting and audit activities.\n\nOwn the month-end and year-end close processes, balance sheet integrity and working capital management, ensuring accurate reporting, effective controls and strong cash performance.\n\nOversee treasury activities including banking relationships, cash management, liquidity planning and payment controls.\n\nOversee VAT, PAYE and corporation tax compliance, coordinating with external advisers where required.\n\nDevelop and maintain financial policies, procedures and governance frameworks to support a strong internal control environment.\n\nLead finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation, system optimisation and implementation projects to improve efficiency, scalability and controls.\n\nPartner with senior stakeholders and FP&A to provide financial insight, performance analysis and decision support across the business.\n\nPartner with FP&A on cash flow management and budgeting & forecasting rounds.\n\nAct as a key point of contact for external auditors, accountants, banks, and other finance partners.\n\nWhat do you need?\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).\n\nMin 3 years experience in a Financial Controller role.\n\nExperience with inventory processes including purchase orders, prepaid orders, consignment stock, and cost of goods sold.\n\nStrong technical accounting knowledge with experience producing management and statutory accounts.\n\nExperience managing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow in a growing business.\n\nExperience implementing systems and optimising the utilisation of systems.\n\nProven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.\n\nStrong leadership skills with experience scaling, managing and developing teams.\n\nExcellent attention to detail alongside the ability to think strategically.\n\nComfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\n\nStrong systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills.\n\nNice to have\nExperience within healthcare, pharmacy, e-commerce, or regulated industries.\n\nExperience working in a scale-up environment.\n\nExperience using Xero, ADP, ApprovalMax, ExpenseIn, FloQast and similar systems.\n\nWhat we offer:\nGenerous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year three) + 8 bank holidays.\n\nPension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions.\n\nFlexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, private healthcare and more.\n\nGrowth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams with support to grow your skills and impact on the business.\n\nEnhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave.\n\nAbout Us\nMontu UK is a leading digital health company specialising in cannabis-based medicines (CBPM), dedicated to improving patient access to safe and effective treatments.
