Please note: This is role is based onsite Monday to Friday 8am-4pm in Mt Waverley, Melbourne.

This role is a max term contract until June 2027

The Warehouse Team Leader is a senior operational role within the Logistics team, responsible for supervising daily warehouse activities and supporting compliance in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

This role assists with the supervision of a small team to ensure accurate, compliant and efficient execution of inbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities. The Team Leader maintains high operational standards while supporting inventory accuracy, quality control and service performance.

The position is primarily hands-on but includes some leadership support, coordination and escalation responsibilities.

Warehouse Operations & Service Delivery:

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Allocate daily tasks and manage workflow to ensure productivity targets and DIFOT performance are achieved.
  • Monitor order accuracy and ensure quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that inbound stock is processed, ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Support loading and unloading of deliveries as required.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure shift handovers are clear and documented.
  • Perform warehouse duties as required, remaining actively involved in floor operations.

Compliance & Inventory Control:

  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
  • Reinforce compliance with TGA and State Health Department requirements relating to Schedule 8 medication handling.
  • Monitor correct storage, segregation and handling of controlled stock.
  • Support cycle counts and stocktake activities.
  • Escalate stock discrepancies, quarantine issues or documentation gaps immediately.
  • Ensure accurate system transactions within the WMS/ERP.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and audit readiness.

Safety, Risk & Quality:

  • Ensure compliance with WHS guidelines at all times.
  • Monitor safe manual handling practices and equipment use.
  • Support initial investigation of minor incidents or near misses.
  • Ensure quality control checks are completed and documented.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
  • Diploma in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical regulations including handling of Schedule 8 medications
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations with supervisory experience
  • Experience supporting end to end warehouse operations, inbound and outbound stock control, picking and packing
  • Exposure to inventory control, cycle counts and KPI reporting.
  • Experience following compliance requirements, (SOP's, safety standards, and regulatory oversight).
  • Familiarity with ERP / WMS systems
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to lead and escalate as necessary.
