We’re looking for Senior Technical Program Managers to join our Engineering teams across Payments and Business Banking, helping us deliver complex, high-impact programmes as we continue to grow.\nDepending on the team you join, you could be:\nPayments: helping us ship more and better payment products, working across teams to solve complex technical challenges and improve how money moves for millions of customers.\nBusiness Banking: helping us build Monzo into the financial control centre for SMEs. You’ll work across teams to deliver features, services and integrations that make running a business simpler from invoicing and expenses to payments and automation.\nBoth roles have a wide remit and involve working across engineering, product and other teams at Monzo. We’re looking for people who can bring clarity to complex technical programmes, influence across teams and help turn ambitious ideas into meaningful outcomes for our customers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead end-to-end planning and execution of launching payment products that cross multiple teams and disciplines\nManage cross-collective programs:Define program roadmaps and milestones, set priorities, manage trade-offs, identify and manage critical path and risks, ensure alignment with the business goals and ambition\nCollaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders, both technical and non-technical across the business to ensure alignment and speed of delivery\nManage dependencies, timeline and sequencing of delivery\n\nDrive effective decision making to remove blockers and speed up delivery\nEnsure operational effectiveness across your collective/area\nYou should apply if:\nYou have 5+ years of experience managing complex technology programs or products from inception to launch\nYou are able to communicate clearly and persuasively to a wide range of audiences, including executive leadership\nYou are comfortable in a global business with a presence in multiple markets and want to be a part of scaling this further\nYou can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles to get stuff done, and are able to thoughtfully and constructively challenge and influence the people you work with\nYou understand how functionality comes together (across products and platforms) to deliver value for users, and identify/mitigate delivery risks proactively; can propose and drive a technical solution\nYou are comfortable personally diving deep into the data and architecture to make good decisions in complex situations where there’s often no “right answer”\nThe interview process:\n Recruiter Call (30 mins) You'll meet our Engineering Leadership Recruiter to discuss your experience and learn more about Monzo. They'll be your partner and guide throughout the interview process.\n Initial Call (45 mins) You'll meet with one of our engineering leaders. They'll ask you about your previous experience, in particular program execution and technical leadership. They’ll also make time to tell you about Monzo and answer your questions.\n Loop Stage (3 hours) The Loop stage consists of 3 x 60 min interviews that take place over 1-2 days (depending on your availability).\nAll things going well, you'll have completed the hiring process\nOur average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability.
