We want people to be passionate about their work and we believe that we are more productive when we’re at ease and enjoying ourselves.\nIf you have experience you are looking to share, we want to hear from you!\nIn this role, You Will:\nAnalyze financial and costing data to ensure accurate financial reporting and costing for pricing and profitability analysis.\nEmbrace data analytics, Power BI, data warehouse reporting, and other tools to monitor and analyze information.\nWork with technical resources and function leads to ensure a cohesive, solution-focused organization.\nOffer data-informed recommendations for efficiency improvements, cost controls, and risk mitigation.\nIdentify risks in internal controls and support any changes needed to process or procedures.\nSupport ongoing continuous improvement through revenue and expense analysis and trends identification.\nEnsure US GAAP compliant financial reporting including variance analysis and reconciliations.\nEngage with quarterly/annual audits.\nEnsure contracts are classified correctly according to ASC-606.\nInterface with sales, engineering, and internal/external audit.\nAlign with corporate shared services for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and other support as needed.\nIdentify and prioritize goals, initiatives, and actions necessary to ensure financial reporting, strategy, and forecasting are timely and accurate.\nAct as an effective member of the Finance team supporting business demands.\nInterpret, execute, and suggest improvements to directives from site and business leadership while working in a team environment to positively influence others.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWho You Are:\nAn experienced financial and cost accountant in a manufacturing environment.\nA strong communicator who recognizes the value of educating and sharing knowledge.\nA collaborator and influencer who engages the operations to drive decisions.\nAn analytical and critical thinker with a solutions-minded orientation.\nA healthy challenger to enable us to get better.\nAn initiator who is self-motivated, independent, and deadline oriented.\nA storyteller through data leveraging strong data analytics skills.\nA decision maker who can prioritize work and tasks to keep things moving.\nA Team player who thrives on accountability and results\nWhat you Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.\nCPA/CA designation considered an asset.\nAt least five years of Accounting/Finance/Costing experience.\nFamiliar with SAP ERP system and/or OneStream is considered an asset.\nProven track record of business partnering to achieve business goals and targets.\nProficient in Microsoft products\nExperience working in corporate environments where receiving inputs from multiple layers within the organization and in turn translate, act, and deliver to varied audiences.\nLeadership qualities with a desire to work in cross-functional teams, build relationships, foster inclusion, and generate mutual participation.\nWant to learn more about Moog Halifax?
