You’ll perform engineering design development and provide technical interface to customers on multiple projects. You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX. Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.\nTo be considered for the Systems Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:\nBachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other significant related engineer degrees (Master’s Degree ideal).\nMinimum three years related avionics experience and related technical professional experience.\nKnowledge of design and development processes, software and techniques; spreadsheet software and word processing software.\nKnowledge of the avionics certification processes for the FAA and other certification authorities, including understanding of system safety assessment process.\nComplete understanding of an avionics systems engineering discipline and general knowledge of multiple/related job areas and industry practices and standards.\nExpert knowledge of relevant requirements management tools.\nMust be able to do engineering work in ground and flight test on aircraft.\nMust be eligible to work in the United States.\nAs an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will:\nReview and evaluate product request from customer and formulate conceptual and feasible design changes to existing products to meet customer requirements.\nAnalyze project proposal to determine feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production time, and discusses proposal with engineers, customers and other personnel.\nSupport customer development and design.\nPerform system/software integration activities to verify proper functionality of the products.\nDevelop new testing applications or modifies existing tools to support integration activities and formal tests.\nEvaluate product design for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications.\nSupport the software/system development activities for the company’s new and legacy product lines.\nSupport avionics systems ground and flight testing.\nSupport aircraft system safety assessment processes, including preparation of functional hazard assessments, system safety assessments, FMEAs, and fault tree analyses, as required.\nSupport system and subsystem analysis and requirements specification.\nSupport system and subsystem modelling and performance analysis.\nDemonstrate knowledge of the avionics certification processes for the FAA and other certification authorities.\nProvide certification support for TSO and STC projects.\nHow We Care for You:\nFinancial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities , matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts.\nWork/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance.\nHealth & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages.\nProfessional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs.\nCulture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values.
