This role ensures that planning processes are effectively designed, standardized, and optimized to align with organizational objectives and SAP Activate methodology. Acting as the key liaison between business and IT, the BPC champions standardization, harmonization, governance and continuous improvement across operating group planning operations. ERP Planning includes the following processes: demand management, integrated business planning, supply planning & master scheduling, and capacity analysis / planning.\nFollowing implementation, the BPC will own the global planning business process for MAG and will be responsible for stabilization, optimization, and long-term value realization. The BPC will provide hands-on support to users, lead required upgrades & UAT testing, maintain work instructions and global process documents, govern process adherence, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous process improvements.\nThis role offers a 1st shift on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY Location.\nAs the Business Process Champion - Planning, you will:\nStrategic Leadership & Governance\nDefine and own future-state planning business processes aligned with program and organizational goals.\nChampion standardization and harmonization of planning processes within the operating group operations.\nServe as a decision-maker for planning process topics throughout the BMP project lifecycle.\nProject Execution & Collaboration\nPartner with Project Process Engineers, ERP functional analysts, site subject matter experts (SME), and business stakeholders.\nDrive planning modernization through kaizen workshops, validate process designs, and approve documentation.\nOversee configuration decisions, test scenarios, and sign-off on deliverables.\nSupport testing cycles, defect resolution, cutover planning, and go-live readiness activities.\nSupport data migration, training and change management.\nDrive change readiness by reinforcing key behaviors, benefits, and new ways of working.\nProcess Optimization & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities for automation, simplification, and performance improvement and enhancements.\nMonitor KPIs and process performance post-implementation.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging BMP tools and analytics.\nRisk & Compliance\nEnsure processes comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.\nMitigate risks associated with process changes and system implementations.\nPrimary Accountabilities:\nAccountable for the successful design and adoption of planning processes.\nResponsible for stakeholder alignment and decision-making on process-related issues.\nOwns the sign-off of process deliverables and testing outcomes.\nEnsures business readiness, process sustainability, and governance through full program lifecycle.\nTo be considered for this role here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.\nPlus a minimum of 7 years in planning platforms with strong knowledge of ERP, MES, PLM, and planning tools integrations.\nDeep knowledge of end-to-end planning processes.\nStrong facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder engagement.\nAnalytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities; ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally, less than 10% travel.\nIt would be great if you also had:\nExperience in large-scale ERP or modernization projects; understanding of ERP and product lifecycle processes.\nProject and change management experience.\nFamiliarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Activate methodology\nHow We Care for You:\nFinancial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities , matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts\nWork/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance.\nHealth & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages.\nProfessional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs\nCulture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values.
