Onsite - Buffalo, NYMoog WNY Defense Sector has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Specialist. This position serves as a key contributor to Moog's contractual integrity, risk management, and business operations. This role requires intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and accountability for supporting contract administration activities across multiple programs and business units. The Contracts Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to support contract execution, ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and maintain strong customer relationships while contributing to the successful delivery of critical programs.

To be considered for the Contracts Specialist role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant contracts, procurement, business, program administration, or related experience.
Understanding of contract administration principles, contract lifecycle management, and contractual risk assessment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Ability to interpret contractual requirements and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Experience with warranty claims administration.
Experience supporting Government-furnished or customer-furnished equipment and material requirements.
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
Experience negotiating domestic and international contract terms and conditions.
Experience supporting Government agencies such as DoD, NASA, NOAA, or commercial direct contracts.
Strong understanding of contract law and contract interpretation.
As a Contracts Specialist, you will:
Participate in all phases of contractual matters affecting programs and projects.
Support the preparation, review, negotiation, execution, modification, and administration of contracts, proposals, long-term agreements, and teaming agreements.
Review assigned contracts prior to award to ensure technical requirements, pricing, terms and conditions, and delivery requirements align with Moog proposals and negotiated agreements.
Draft and review contractual documentation while protecting Moog's business, legal, and operational interests.
Consult and collaborate with Group or Corporate Legal Counsel on contractual matters and risk mitigation strategies.
Interpret contract language, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), agency regulations, and other contractual requirements.
Support negotiations of contracts, modifications, and change orders with customers and business partners.
Monitor contract performance, deliverables, obligations, and compliance requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
Identify, assess, and help mitigate contractual, business, and compliance risks.
Review contractual documentation for compliance with company policies, regulations, and prior agreements.
Process milestone billings and support a variety of government and commercial contract types.
Collaborate with technical teams regarding data rights documentation and contractual requirements.
Maintain organized contract files, records, reports, and documentation to support business operations and leadership decision-making.
Support export compliance activities by working with empowered officials to obtain required export licenses and government authorizations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, policy enhancements, and training activities within the Contracts organization.
Support business travel requirements up to 10%.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
