This operating group specializes in developing rugged fiber optic solutions, including cable assemblies and harnesses, that provide dependable performance in harsh aerospace, military, and industrial environments where reliability is critical.\nThe Inside Applications Engineer (IAE) supports the pre- and post-sales design of Moog’s transceivers and cabling into our customers’ products. The individual in this role serves as a liaison between Moog and its customers focusing on customer relationships, engineering, and operations where integration or advanced support is required. The individual in this role works independently and collectively with the Inside Sales, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams, using sound judgment and discretion when addressing and resolving customer needs.\nTo be considered for our Inside Applications Engineer role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:\nA bachelor’s degree in engineering or communications and technical sales required.\nMinimum 3 years of relevant experience.\nMust have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.\nHighly customer-oriented and the ability to build relationships while working across diverse groups and functional areas in a collaborative manner.\nExcellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.) and the use of other standard office tools.\nIt would be great if you also had:\nExperience in electrical and optical parameters of optical transceivers, optical networking, transmission protocols, and networking is preferred.\nExperience in a business and manufacturing setting preferred.\nExperience using common engineering tools and applications (CAD, SolidWorks, etc.) is a plus\nAs our Inside Applications Engineer, you will:\nProvides daily customer support via phone, email, and in-person visits, to address and resolve customers’ technical questions related to our products.\nMeets with Sales and customers to understand the customer’s needs, requirements and issues, provide technical expertise and to support pre- and post-sales.\nDocuments and produces reports containing customers' information and requirements (e.g., contacts, projects, status, etc.) to keep the sales team informed of customer needs.\nFacilitates translating ideas into drawings, BOMs, and other customer-facing materials.\nAssists with PCNs, RMAs, and web support documentation.\nAssists in occasional manufacturing of small parts for customers as needed.\nAssists in creation and maintenance of data sheets, MRD, and project plans.\nGenerates, in coordination with the Sales, Product Management, and Engineering team, program/project overviews based on customer’s needs, requirements and other factors to support the sales team and provide the best possible technical solution for the customer.\nProvides reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) detailing customer interactions, programs, projects, and status of customer orders/support.\nDemonstrates the ability to achieve work-related deadlines independently and consistently.\nHow We Care for You:\nFinancial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities , matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts\nWork/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance.\nHealth & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages.\nProfessional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs\nCulture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values.
