Support may be available for candidates required to relocate closer to the Tewkesbury area, subject to business approval.\nDue to continued growth across our Commercial Aircraft Group, Moog is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering team.\nMoog Commercial Aircraft Group Tewkesbury is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components across a range of materials. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with machining and CAD/CAM experience who is looking to further develop their career within a highly regulated aerospace environment.\nWe welcome applications from candidates with experience using a range of CAD/CAM platforms. Training on Siemens NX can be provided for the right candidate.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and implement lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost and delivery.\nCreate machining processes for complex components with tight tolerances using CAD/CAM software.\nSelect cutting tools, design fixtures and produce shop documentation.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including Design for Manufacture (DfM) reviews.\nLead and support process improvement projects, ensuring minimal downtime within the machine shop.\nReview engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design changes to enhance productivity and standardisation.\nProvide technical support to internal stakeholders and manufacturing operations.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations teams to achieve business objectives.\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nExperience in manufacturing or process engineering within a precision machining environment\n5 Axis Milling and/or Millturn Background\nCAD/CAM programming experience using Siemens NX, CATIA, Mastercam, Edgecam, FeatureCAM, PartMaker or similar systems.\nStrong understanding of CNC machining processes.\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nAnalytical problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical solutions.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nDesirable\nDegree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).\nAerospace, Automotive, defence, medical or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.\nPFMEA experience.\nSiemens NX experience.\n5 Axis Milling (Okuma MU4000V or equivalent) and Mill turn (Mazak I100, I200 or DMG NTX 1000)\nKnowledge of GD&T principles.\nExposure to advanced manufacturing processes.\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression.\nTraining and development opportunities, including Siemens NX training where appropriate.\n33 days annual leave (including bank holidays).\nPrivate medical insurance, mental health support and financial advice.\nGenerous life assurance and company pension contribution (from 6%).\nEmployee share options.\nFree onsite parking, EV charging and gym facilities.\nWe review applications on an ongoing basis and may close the vacancy once a suitable candidate has been identified.
