At Moog Halifax you are part of a team.\nIn This Role, You Will:\nManage the procurement of standard, machine and technical parts across all product lines and custom projects.\n Use the company ERP (SAP) to prepare purchase orders for materials, components, consumables, and equipment in-line with company cost expectations, quality, delivery and inventory goals\nDrive supplier engagement, RFQs, pricing analysis, and PO placement with precision and urgency\nPartner across engineering, finance, and operations to ensure parts are sourced on-time and on-budget\nSupport the negotiation of complex or unique purchase terms and conditions.\nEnsure continuous supply of production materials, components and assemblies.\n Communicate supply issues that may pose a risk or impact on business targets or customer expectations\nResearch and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduction of costs including new or alternate sources\nDevelop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement\nEvaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and delivery expectations\nWork with suppliers and internal teams to resolve price, quality, delivery and invoice issues\nWork with suppliers and internal supply chain partners to expedite parts when required.\nDevelop, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communication with all critical suppliers\nUse data to optimize decisions, identify risks, and elevate performance\nWho You Are:\nAn experienced Technical Buyer with a strong track record in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.\nA strategic thinker who identifies procurement challenges and drives cost-effective solutions.\nA relationship builder who fosters trust with suppliers and cross-functional teams.\nDetail-oriented with a sharp eye for accuracy in purchasing and supplier evaluations.\nData-driven and confident using ERP systems and analytics tools to inform decisions.\nA skilled negotiator who handles complex procurement scenarios with professionalism.\nCommitted to growth, always seeking to learn and improve through training and collaboration.\nA Strong communicator with analytical and organizational skills to support efficient manufacturing operations. \nAbility to work & collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, including Sales, Finance, Engineering and Production.\nAbility to demonstrate business acumen and judgment to understand and relay procurement requirements across internal and external customers.\nWhat You Bring:\nA University Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering or suitable combination of education and related experience\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain and/or contract management experience\nExperience working in ERP/MRB systems\nStrong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with BI tools. \nEffective time management and organizational skills\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment\nProficiency at reading and understanding engineering drawings.
