You will join the Quality Assurance team, reporting directly to our Site Quality Manager and be tasked with applying knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and procedures to provide direct support related to space products and contracts.\nThis is an on-site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is M-Th, 7:30am-4:00pm, every other F 7:30am-4:00pm)\nYou will perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured assemblies to verify compliance with travelers, drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Maintain quality records by documenting inspection results and maintaining controlled documentation. Supports manufacturing flow by identifying nonconformances, communicating findings, and collaborating with quality and manufacturing. Maintain independence from production execution while promoting a consistent, team-based approach to quality.\nTo be considered for the Quality Assurance Inspector role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:\nHigh School Diploma/GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all work instructions and training.\n5 years or more of experience as an electronics quality inspector, with strong understanding and interpretation of blueprints/mechanical drawings. As well as inspection of electronic parts.\nExperience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Certification preferred.\nExperience with selection, handling, and proper use of measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.\nExperience with Drawing/Blueprint reading.\nPrevious electronics and mechanical inspection experience\nBasic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCurrent or Prior NASA 8739, and or IPC J-STD-001 certification as an inspector and/or trainer\nExperience in reading blueprints or equivalent using precision measuring equipment and working with various quality standards.\nFirst Article Inspection (FAI) experience.\nExperience with nonconformance tracking tools such as TIPQA or equivalent.\nExperience in a Quality or similar organization, preferably in aerospace industry\nExperience with companies that produce electrical or electronics products.\nAble to work with computer software tools.\nAbility to work independently, with self-driven approach and commitment to providing excellent customer support (Internal and external).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal/people skills.\nAs a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will:\nPerform the following inspections to industry standards; mechanical components, electronic assemblies, NASA-8739 and J-STD-001standards and source inspections.\nPerform inspection of space electronic assemblies (visual and dimensional checks) and electronic components.\nBecome NASA 8739, or IPC J-Std certification.\nUse of all inspection equipment, including, but not limited to, surface plates, calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, height gauges, dial indicators, AOI Machine, DMM, Microscope, etc. and their application in conducting manual detailed component inspections.\nExpert level skills in the interpretation and application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in accordance with ANSI Y14.5.\nFollow departmental standard work and recommend improvements to the inspection process/plans.\nWork with and understand drawings, follow manufacturing traveler instructions and checklists.\nAs required, generate training material and methodologies to provide continuous improvement to internal staff.\nGenerate inspection reports and non-conformances using internal tools (TipQA).\nSupport on-site customer inspections and determine non-conformances based on industry standards.\nWork independently and be proactive in tackling tasks and getting them to closure.\nOur Benefits - How We Care for You:\nFinancial Rewards: competitive compensation package, annual profit sharing, matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts\nWork/Life Balance: 9/80 work schedule, get every other Friday off.
