Support may be available for candidates required to relocate closer to the Tewkesbury area, subject to business approval.\nDue to continued growth across our Commercial Aircraft Group, Moog is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering capability.\nMoog Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership across machining operations, New Product Introduction activities and manufacturing process development. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can drive manufacturing excellence, support complex machining challenges and mentor others within the engineering team.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost and delivery.\nCreate and optimise machining processes for complex aerospace components using Siemens NX and associated CAD/CAM technologies.\nProvide Design for Manufacture (DfM) input during product development activities.\nLead APQP activities such as PFMEA, Control Plans and MSA studies.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, reducing downtime and improving process capability.\nReview engineering drawings and recommend design improvements to enhance manufacturability and standardisation.\nProvide technical support to internal stakeholders and external suppliers.\nMentor and support Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in tooling, gauging and fixture design.\nSupport strategic manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence programmes.\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nSignificant Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision machining environment.\n5 Axis Milling and/or Mill turn Background\nAdvanced CNC programming expertise using Siemens NX.\nStrong knowledge of DfM, PFMEA, GD&T and process optimisation methodologies.\nExperience leading NPI programmes from concept through to production.\nProven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering colleagues.\nExcellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.\nDesirable\nDegree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).\nVericut experience.\n5 Axis Milling (Okuma MU4000V or equivalent) and Millturn (Mazak I100, I200 or DMG NTX 1000)\nKnowledge of DFSS, Zero Defects and advanced lean methodologies.\nExposure to EDM, honing, lapping, grinding, flow deburring, anodising and heat treatment processes.\nStrong Siemens NX experience.\nStrong technical knowledge of GD&T principles.\nExposure to advanced manufacturing processes including automation.\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression.\n33 days annual leave (including bank holidays).\nPrivate medical insurance, mental health support and financial advice.\nGenerous life assurance and company pension contribution (from 6%).\nEmployee share options.\nFree onsite parking, EV charging and gym facilities.\nWe review applications on an ongoing basis and may close the vacancy once a suitable candidate has been identified.
