Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development, Moog provides expert solutions in:\nStabilized Turret Drive Systems\n\nIntegrated Weapon Systems (full turret from mechanical design to fire control electronics and software)\n\nAmmunition Handling\n\nData Control and Distribution\n\nPower Management and Distribution\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer at our location in Santa Barbara, California. We provide sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle. Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development.\nHere's what you'll need to bring with you:\nBS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing\n\n5 years industry experience\n\nClassical and modern control systems design knowledge\n\nSignal processing and data analysis knowledge.\n\nHands-on experience working with the hardware and software aspects of electro-mechanical systems.\n\nMATLAB/Simulink knowledge\n\nProficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n\nExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills\n\nStrong attention to detail\n\nHigh level of motivation and willingness to learn.\n\nStrong work ethic\n\nAbility to access US export-controlled information.\n\nAbility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.\n\nMS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing preferred.\n\nTurret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience preferred.\n\nHere’s what you’ll be working on day to day:\nProvide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems.\n\nInterface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to generate component and subsystem specifications.\n\nDefine hardware and software interfaces between subsystems.\n\nDevelop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithms.\n\nBuild linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate system performance.\n\nProvide technical leadership and guidance for development teams.\n\nSupport lab and field testing.\n\nGenerate technical documentation (plans, reports)\n\nOccasional travel required.\n\nHow We Care for You:\nFinancial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities , matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts\n\nWork/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance.\n\nHealth & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages.\n\nProfessional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs\n\nCulture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values.
