This role performs electronic assembly operations in accordance with engineering requirements, manufacturing instructions, IPC standards, and quality procedures to ensure the production of defect-free hardware.\nThe position supports both manufacturing and inspection activities, including hand soldering, visual inspection, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray inspection, rework, and documentation of electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and related hardware.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAssemble electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and electronic hardware following work instructions, drawings, and specifications.\nPerform hand soldering of surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 requirements.\nInspect completed assemblies using microscopes and other inspection equipment to verify product quality and workmanship.\nPerform visual inspection to Space Addendum acceptance criteria.\nOperate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems and review inspection findings.\nPerform or support X-ray inspection of electronic assemblies to verify solder joint integrity and workmanship.\nIdentify, document, and communicate defects, nonconformances, and process issues.\nPerform rework and repair of electronic assemblies as required.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, assembly instructions, and manufacturing travelers.\nMaintain accurate production and inspection records.\nFollow ESD, FOD, safety, and quality system requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing activities.\nWork effectively within a team environment to meet production schedules and customer commitments.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n5+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience.\nDemonstrated proficiency in SMT and through-hole soldering.\nAbility to independently interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.\nExperience performing electronic assembly rework and repair.\nStrong understanding of workmanship standards and quality requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nIPC J-STD-001 Certification.\nIPC J-STD-001 Space Addendum Certification.\nAOI operation experience.\nX-Ray inspection experience.\nExperience with aerospace, defense, or space electronics manufacturing.\nExperience working with high-reliability hardware.\nConformal coating, staking, bonding, or encapsulation experience.\nLean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.\nSalary Range Transparency:\nPhoenix, AZ $35.00-$40.00 HourlySalary Range Disclaimer\nThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location.
