Working under the guidance of senior risk staff, this role assists Product Development in embedding risk considerations, helping ensure prudent leverage management, robust client protection and compliance with Australian regulatory requirements while supporting sustainable business growth.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduct Development & Risk Integration\nSupport the Product Development team by contributing risk requirements into product design.\nAssist in providing risk input on product roadmaps, helping research risk-adjusted product structures to balance innovation with regulatory compliance and risk appetite.\nHelp draft product specifications, system rules and user interface requirements that enforce risk limits.\nProduct & Risk Framework Ownership\nAssist in maintaining the risk management framework for ASX margin lending and listed options, including policies, limits, procedures.\nHelp define and maintain risk parameters, escalating proposed adjustments based on product feedback and market testing.\nSupport the development of joint risk rules for “Margin + Options” portfolios, covering strategy eligibility, additional margins, position limits and stress scenarios.\nClient Risk & Suitability Management\nAssist in maintaining client segmentation and trading permission, aligned with risk appetite and ASIC expectations for early product launches.\nSupport Product and Compliance teams in implementing client suitability assessments, knowledge tests and ongoing reviews for leveraged products.\nHelp prepare risk disclosures, client communications and educational materials for margin calls and complex strategies.\nMarket, Credit & Portfolio Risk\nMonitor exposures from margin lending and options portfolios.\nConducting stress testing, scenario analysis and back-testing, documenting results and proposing parameter adjustments for volatile markets.\nHelp monitor risk limits at client, product and portfolio levels, escalating breaches to senior management in line with established procedures.\nGovernance, Compliance & Reporting\nHelp ensure frameworks align with AFS licence conditions and ASIC requirements (e.g. responsible lending, client protection), escalating uncertainties to senior risk and Compliance.\nSupport risk integration into front-to-back processes alongside Compliance, Legal, Operations and Product teams.\nAssist in preparing and processing risk reports for management, committees and regulators, highlighting product development risks and mitigations for senior review.\nCross-functional Collaboration & Build-out\nSupport risk tool development, monitoring dashboards and alerts in partnership with Technology and Product team.\nHelp promote risk culture by contributing to training materials for front-line teams on margin/options risks and “client protection + sustainable leverage” principles.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management or related field;
