We're building the first-mile operations platform for a global food producer: a suit of applications that farm and logistic teams act from. You'll take working prototypes into production, integrating against an API owned by a separate team, and crafting them so that they’re highly reliable and easy to use.\nIn this role, you will work alongside a Project Manager, Product Designer, Lead Engineer, and the partner’s operations and IT teams.\nThis is a 3-month full-time contract (40 hours/week) offering $110-$160/hour, with the potential for extension based on project needs and contractor's performance.\nPlease note that occasional travel may be required as needed to fulfill project tasks.\nWhat You’ll Do at Moon\nPrototype building: Web and mobile interfaces, aimed at quick experimentation and validation\n Web app delivery: A responsive web interface, bilingual (EN/ES). Including authentication, deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, error tracking, and other quality-of-life services\nData integration: Connect to our partner's API layer and live GPS feeds from third-party providers\nContribute to the tech direction: Stack, architecture, and scope calls, supported by documentation\nThe Must-Haves \n Build-to-learn mindset: You can build quick, throwaway prototypes to test ideas with real users. When one works, you know what it needs before production (error handling, security, tests, monitoring) and which shortcuts can stay.\n Experience delivering apps to production: You have 7+ years building web applications and keeping them running for real users. You're strong in React and TypeScript, comfortable on the backend (Node.js or Python), and know how to design a relational database.\nAI-assisted development: You use AI coding tools and know where they save time and where their output needs checking. We use Claude Code, and we expect to learn from how you work with it.\nInfrastructure ownership: You've handled deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, auth, and secrets management yourself, without a platform team to lean on.\n Real-time systems: you have experience shipping user-facing product built on live or near-real-time data, and you can explain the trade-offs (latency, consistency, cost) to non-technical people\nThe Nice-to-Haves \nBusiness-level Spanish: You can work comfortably in Spanish, our partner team's language.\nReact Native and mobile depth: You've shipped React Native apps and know what it takes to develop interfaces for small screens.\n Geospatial and telemetry experience: You've worked with mapping tools (Mapbox, Leaflet, deck.gl, or PostGIS), open satellite imagery such as Copernicus Sentinel-2, or time-series and sensor data pipelines.\nConversational interfaces: You've built products on the WhatsApp Business API or similar messaging platforms.\nSounds fun, right? \nIf you identify with Moon's values and would like to contribute to our work, please submit your resume and cover letter (optional).\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER \nMoon Creative Lab is an equal opportunity employer; applicants are considered for all roles without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, national origin, citizenship status, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, marital, parental, veteran or military status, unfavorable military discharge, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state or local law.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3413,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Spanish","level":"Proficiency (C2)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-13T10:59:48Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":55,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.733,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":19,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["conf:4","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-10-14T06:34:16Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/moon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/moon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-14T22:20:30Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":30053,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-15T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4418580},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4418580"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fmoon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fmoon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fmoon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/moon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fmoon-creative-lab-full-stack-engineer-contract-palo-alto"}]}
