Moonsail North is accepting applications for a Graphic Design Intern
We are accepting applications for aGraphic Design Intern who enjoys supporting others in an array of projects, including marketing, social media, public relations, administration, and more. You’ll gain valuable professional experience during this paid internship by working on a variety of challenging projects that require both creativity and technical finesse.
The ideal candidate is in their senior year (although juniors with strong portfolios and previous internships will be considered), thrives on deadline, is skilled at managing project timelines, and is highly organized, well-rounded, communicative, and collaborative. This individual is also attuned to the importance of accessibility standards and diversity, equity, and inclusion. We want whoever lands this position to have a passion for storytelling, a desire for continual learning and growth, and an infectious positive attitude.
This position needs a team member who can:
- Use design principles and fundamentals for a range of creative projects
- Design digital, print, and promotional media in accordance with brand guidelines and brand voice
- Ensure that DEI and accessibility are considered and reflected in all of your work
- Project manage fast-moving, complex campaigns
Platforms that we may expect you to learn and use (current experience with these is a plus):
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Project management platforms, such as Trello and Airtable
- Social media networks (native UI)
- Social media management platforms, such as Sprout Social
- Content management systems, such as WordPress
- E-newsletter platforms, such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact
Desired skills:
- Excellent time and project management
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Collaborative and communicative work style
- High-quality work that needs minimal editing
While Moonsail North's HQ is based in Lansing, Michigan, this position has the flexibility to accommodate a range of work locations. Moonsail North works with each individual to customize a work environment reflective of both the position’s and the individual’s specific needs.
