{"id":3640394,"url":"https://alion.io/job/mooreco-ehs-specialist","title":"EHS Specialist","company":{"id":3138151,"name":"MooreCo","domain":"moorecoinc.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/moorecoinc","size_band":"51-200","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"ADP","truth_index":null},"role":"Industrial Engineering","role_family":"Industrial Engineering","seniority":"middle","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Temple, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":3,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-11-02T21:29:33Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-11-02","last_verified_at":"2026-11-05T04:15:50Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":2,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":2},"description":"Job Title: EHS Specialist\nLocation: Temple, TX\nReports To: VP of Operations\nPrimary duties will include:\nMaintain knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.\nMaintain accurate OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs, incident reports, and other required safety documentation.\nConduct routine workplace safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and recommend corrective actions.\nInvestigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.\nCoordinate workers' compensation incidents, medical appointments, post-accident testing, and injury-related documentation.\nCoordinate and conduct employee safety training, new hire orientations, and refresher training as required.\nMonitor compliance with safety programs, including LOTO, HazCom, PPE, Forklift Safety, Machine Guarding, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Fire Safety.\nMaintain safety policies, procedures, training records, chemical inventories, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).\nSupport environmental compliance activities, including waste management, manifests, SPCC requirements, and environmental inspections.\nPromote a positive safety culture by providing employee coaching, addressing unsafe behaviors, and encouraging safe work practices.\nCoordinate with management, employees, and external vendors to address safety concerns and maintain regulatory compliance.\nAssist the VP of Operations with safety initiatives, regulatory inspections, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), occupational safety, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations, General Industry Standards (29 CFR 1910), and applicable safety compliance requirements.\nExperience with OSHA recordkeeping, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs, incident reporting, and safety documentation.\nKnowledge of workplace safety programs, hazard identification, incident investigations, and corrective action procedures.\nFamiliarity with environmental regulations, hazardous materials, and waste management requirements.\nAbility to conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and communicate corrective actions.\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nBilingual in English and Spanish preferred.\nOther duties and assignments may be added to assist in the continued coordination of safety and compliance. \nPreferred education:\nAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred.\nOSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred.\nEquivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.\nThe essential physical & environmental requirements of the position are:\nAbility to work in non-climate-controlled environment, heat and cold.\nAbility to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.\nAbility to stand prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.\nAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.\nAbility to hear sounds and differentiate between them.\nAbility to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.\nMooreCo Inc. is the leader in the educational and commercial markets for visual communication products, technology support equipment, and office furniture.
