You'll have the opportunity to build on your audit experience, develop your leadership skills and gain greater exposure to a varied client portfolio while working closely with experienced partners and directors.\nYou will be part of a tight-knit team, delivering client-focused and commercially aware services in an efficient and professional manner. You'll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, growing SMEs, not-for-profit entities and larger corporate groups across a broad range of sectors.\nYou will mentor, train and support junior team members, helping them develop and progress in their careers, with the opportunity to become involved in formal training initiatives if desired.\nYou will also play an active role in developing client relationships, identifying business development opportunities and promoting the firm's services, with the opportunity to specialise in sectors that align with your interests and career goals.\nThis role is based in our Isle of Wight office; however, flexibility to travel to other office locations and client sites across the South Coast, and occasionally further afield, will be required.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeading audits from planning through to completion, including fieldwork, review and finalisation\nResponsibility for achieving agreed budgets and meeting deadlines\nPreparing and reviewing financial statements under FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and other relevant accounting frameworks\nDelivery of a complete audit file for manager review\nSupervision of the audit team on-site, which includes reviewing the work of juniors and assisting junior team members with technical accounting and audit questions\nExperience in both substantive & controls-based audits\nDrafting recommendations to management following audit fieldwork completion\nDrafting of close out audit meeting agenda and points for discussion\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, including regular interaction with Partners and Directors\nPromoting the interests of the firm with all employed by the firm, clients, prospective clients and other third parties\nDelivering a high-quality, professional and responsive service to clients\nAny other special work as required e.g. benchmarking reports, management information reviews & proposal pitches\nWorking alongside Managers, to assist and supervise junior team members\nAttending client gatherings or client seminars on an ad hoc basis\nIdentifying business development opportunities with clients and progressing these in liaison with partner/director\nInternal networking to get to know your team and the wider firm including specialist services\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)\nExperience leading audits for a range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate clients.
