In this role, you will connect business objectives with technical execution through clear requirements, value-based backlog management, and cross-functional collaboration.\nYou will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Architecture teams to translate business needs into actionable tasks, manage technical debt, and ensure smooth policy data conversions while maintaining business continuity.\nResponsibilities\nVision & Roadmap Alignment\nPartner with the Product Manager to define and communicate a product vision and roadmap aligned to business goals, technical sustainability, and modernization outcomes.\n\nBacklog Management & Prioritization\nIndependently prioritize and manage the product backlog-including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria-balancing operational needs, technical debt, dependencies, constraints, and business value.\n\nLead backlog refinement and requirements discussions, guide sprint planning, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies.\n\nSystem Modernization & Data Conversion\nSupport life insurance conversion and modernization requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria for transitions from legacy mainframes to current administration systems.\n\nCoordinate validation, testing, cutover, and operational readiness with strict attention to policy data, downstream impacts, and service continuity.\n\nTechnical Requirements & Solutioning\nTranslate business needs into actionable technical requirements.\n\nPartner with stakeholders, engineering, and architecture teams to improve current-system supportability, address technology risks, and align modernization scope and feasibility.\n\nCollaborate with UX/UI and engineering teams on usable, technically viable solutions, advocating for CI/CD principles to enhance product quality and delivery speed.\n\nData-Driven Outcomes & Continuous Improvement\nUse data and success metrics to evaluate outcomes, communicate progress, identify gaps, escalate risks, and adjust priorities.\n\nBuild strong cross-functional partnerships, mentor team members, share domain knowledge, and contribute to continuous process improvement.\n\nQualifications (Must Have)\n5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) or similar development environment.\n\nDemonstrated strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), technical requirements, technical constraints, and UX/UI considerations.\n\nProven track record of translating business strategy into actionable technical tasks and managing complex, competing priorities.\n\nSolid Agile and Scrum mastery, including backlog prioritization, user story drafting, acceptance criteria definition, and sprint planning.\n\nStrong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder negotiation, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.\n\nAdvanced / Fluent English (written and spoken) with high communication skills for direct interactions with U.S. stakeholders.\n\nBased in LATAM.\n\nNice to Have\nLife Insurance Conversion Experience: Moving policies from legacy mainframe platforms to current administration systems (including requirements, data mapping, reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-conversion stabilization).\n\nFinancial services background and deep knowledge of life insurance administration platforms.\n\nHands-on experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nRelevant Product Owner certification (e.g., PSPO, CSPO, SAFe POPM).\n\nWhat We Offer\n100% remote work from anywhere in LATAM.\n\nLong-term contract position (12-18 months initial project scope).\n\nCompetitive compensation in USD.\n\nOpportunity to work directly with U.S.-based engineering and leadership teams on high-impact core modernization systems.\n\nHigh autonomy, flexibility, and a collaborative team environment\n\nReady to make an impact?\nIf this opportunity feels like the right next step for you, we’d love to get to know you.
