For additional details on adjunct faculty wages and benefits, please refer to our information page, here.\nJob Qualifications:\nFor Communications: Master’s Degree in the content area being taught (Content areas may include English, Reading Instruction, Journalism, Speech, Communication or Literature) or Master’s Degree in any field/discipline and 18 graduate credits in the content area being taught. \nFor Mathematics: Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Master’s Degree in any field/discipline and 18 graduate credits in Mathematics.\nFor Natural Science: Master’s Degree in the content area being taught (Content areas may include Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics) or Master’s Degree in any field/discipline and 18 graduate credits in the content area being taught.\nFor Social Science: Master’s Degree in the content area being taught (Content areas may include Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, Anthropology, Geography, or Philosophy) or Master’s Degree in any field/discipline and 18 graduate credits in the content area being taught.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.\nMeet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.\nMaintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected timeframe.\nProvide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.\nMay participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.\nAssist with student recruitment and positively promote the College programs and services offered.\nPromote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources.\nMaintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.\nActively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies.
