This position serves as the organization’s primary technical resource for business intelligence development and reporting, supporting mission services, Workforce Development programs, retail operations, finance, and other organizational functions. The position assumes ownership of data solutions initially developed by an external consultant and is responsible for the long-term sustainability, accuracy, security, and growth of the organization’s analytics platform. Initial priorities include completing Workforce Development analytics and reporting solutions and supporting the future migration of retail business intelligence reporting into the enterprise analytics environment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDemonstrate the organization’s values at all times.\nOwn the organization’s business intelligence environment, including the dashboards, dataflows, and applications.\nMaintain and troubleshoot existing business intelligence solutions to keep them reliable, scalable, and supportable over time.\nDesign and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards that support operational, programmatic, and executive decision-making.\nPartner with Workforce Development leadership to define reporting, grant-reporting, and outcome-tracking needs.\nBuild data collection forms and workflows for programs or processes that lack a source system.\nBuild data integrations that collect, clean, validate, and combine data from internal and external sources.\nWrite SQL queries, calculated fields, and scripts to support reporting, analysis, and automation.\nEstablish and monitor data quality controls to keep organizational data accurate, complete, and current.\nDocument data sources and reporting logic so solutions stay maintainable without relying on any one person.\nSupport the retail reporting migration by inventorying existing reports, validating calculations, and rebuilding solutions as needed.\nAutomate reporting, monitoring, and alerts to reduce manual effort and speed up access to information.\nWork with department leaders to standardize definitions, metrics, and reporting practices across the organization.\nTrain users on dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools.\nApply security, privacy, and access-control standards to reports, dashboards, and datasets.\nEvaluate new analytics and AI tools that offer real business value and validate their outputs before use.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat we require from you:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience developing and supporting business intelligence, analytics, data reporting, or related solutions.\nDemonstrated proficiency in SQL, including data extraction, validation, transformation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.\nExperience developing dashboards, datasets, and reporting solutions using a cloud-based business intelligence platform.\nExperience integrating and transforming data from multiple systems, databases, cloud applications, spreadsheets, application programming interfaces (APIs), and other organizational data sources.\nExperience supporting, documenting, and enhancing existing analytics solutions developed by others.\nStrong understanding of data modeling, relational databases, calculations, aggregation methods, and business intelligence concepts.\nKnowledge of data governance, data quality practices, documentation standards, security, privacy, and access controls.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve technical and business issues.\nAbility to gather requirements and translate business needs into practical and maintainable technical solutions.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
