Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.\nResponsibilities\nSafely set up and approve equipment for operation, ensuring required product quality standards are achieved.\nRead engineering drawings, customer drawings and quality documentation to verify product dimensions.\nLead 6S initiatives to improve the working environment and increase process productivity. \nWork with production, engineering and maintenance teams to develop maintenance schedules and complete basic planned maintenance, reducing operational downtime.\nLead projects with suppliers of consumables, equipment and tooling to improve machine output.\nTrain operators to use production equipment safely and effectively.\nTrain other Cell Engineers as needed to support flexibility and maintain a multi-skilled setting team.\nAssist operators with machine adjustments when required.\nUse measuring equipment to confirm components meet specification.\nSupport quality and engineering teams with new business trials and process improvement activities.\nApply SPC methodology to improve process quality.\nSupport continuous improvement events and quality circle meetings.\nWork with the Operations team to deliver key strategic projects that support departmental and site objectives as required.\nPromote a strong EHS culture by reviewing and addressing safety performance indicators, keeping EHS policies, procedures and statutory documentation up to date, and ensuring employees are trained, competent and supported to work safely.\nFollow all health and safety requirements and maintain a clean, organised working environment.\nQualifications\nNVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related discipline is desirable.\nMinimum of three years’ experience in a similar engineering role within a production environment.\nExperience with ceramics manufacturing processes and materials is beneficial.\nYellow Belt qualification in lean manufacturing techniques is desirable.\nExperience with ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 would be advantageous.\nSelf-motivated with a strong focus on performance.\nStrong communicator with the ability to work effectively in a team.\nMorgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
