Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.\nResponsibilities\nJob Title\nCNC Grinding Operator\nJob Summary\nThe CNC Grinding Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC grinding machines to produce precision parts that meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSet up, operate, and monitor CNC grinding machines (surface, cylindrical or internal grinding, as applicable)\nLoad and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing components within tolerances\nPerform machine offsets and basic program edits as needed\nSelect, dress, and change grinding wheels and tooling\nMeasure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators)\nVerify parts meet dimensional, surface finish, and quality requirements\nDocument inspection results and production data\nTroubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency\nPerform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized\nRequired Qualifications\nProven experience operating and programming CNC grinding machines\nExperience using precision measuring tools\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality\nKnowledge of Super Abrasives advantageous as well as Tungsten Carbide experience\nWould consider people with a wood turning background within a jobbing shop environment\nQualifications\nMorgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
