Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.\nResponsibilities\nLead, manage and develop the site engineering team, setting clear objectives, allocating resources, monitoring performance and supporting training, succession planning and continuous professional development.\nEnsure plant, equipment, utilities and site infrastructure are maintained in a safe, reliable and compliant condition through effective planned, preventive and reactive maintenance programmes.\nDevelop and deliver site engineering plans, maintenance priorities and key performance indicators to improve reliability, reduce downtime, control costs and support production, quality and customer requirements.\nPromote a positive, accountable and collaborative culture, ensuring effective communication, regular one-to-one meetings, constructive feedback and consistent application of company people policies.\nLead engineering improvement and capital projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring appropriate technical review, risk management, budget control, documentation and stakeholder engagement.\nDrive continuous improvement across kilns, furnaces, presses, machining and finishing equipment, utilities and facilities, using root cause analysis and engineering data to prevent recurrence of faults and improve process capability.\nManage engineering budgets, critical spares, suppliers and contractors to achieve value for money while maintaining required standards of safety, quality and service.\nWork closely with production, quality, environmental and other site functions to resolve operational issues, support new product and process introductions, and meet business objectives.\nProvide leadership on health, safety and wellbeing across the engineering function, ensuring risks are effectively managed and legal and company standards are maintained.\nQualifications\nRelevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.\nChartered Engineer status, or progress towards relevant accreditation, is desirable.\nSignificant engineering leadership experience in manufacturing; ceramics, high-temperature or process-industry experience is desirable.\nStrong knowledge of maintenance management, asset reliability, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.\nProven people-management skills, including objective setting, performance management, coaching and technical development.\nKnowledge of UK engineering health and safety, including risk assessments, safe systems, machinery safety, contractor control and permits to work.\nAbility to travel to other locations to attend meetings, training or support other Morgan sites.\nMorgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
