This position is responsible for the execution and delivery of infrastructure solutions and project outcomes defined by Solution Architects. The role provides day-to-day operational support for infrastructure environments and AI-driven initiatives across sites in the Americas region. The specialist ensures resilient, secure, and high-performing platforms that enable business continuity and modernization.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure Planning & Execution\nPlan, implement, and validate changes to infrastructure components across LATAM sites.\nIdentify, analyze, map, and document information needs for current and future systems and processes.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including Visio diagrams, architecture references, and executive-level presentations.\nEnsure project requirements and solution-design specifications are fully and accurately implemented.\nDocument, manage permissions, and provide operational support for AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) environments.\nSupport, Troubleshooting & Operations\nAnticipate potential issues and take proactive steps to mitigate risks and disruptions.\nWork closely with business users to ensure delivered solutions meet functional requirements and drive measurable business value.\nCoordinate with procurement teams, vendors, and site managers for equipment acquisition, installations, and service activities.\nParticipate in system hardening, patching initiatives, and formal Change Requests (CRs).\nProvide weekly follow-up to LATAM plants and ensure timely execution of project milestones and status updates.\nContinuous Improvement & Modernization\nEvaluate and enhance operational processes to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and cost-effective.\nSupport ongoing infrastructure modernization initiatives aligned with global IT strategy.\nCybersecurity & Compliance\nEnsure strict adherence to global IT security policies, data protection regulations, and relevant industry standards.\nPartner with regional and global security teams to implement cybersecurity initiatives and monitor compliance.\nQualifications\nRequirements\nMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.\nStrong knowledge of the manufacturing industry and familiarity with technology trends impacting industrial environments.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish.\n5-7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud technologies, and Azure services.\n3-5 years of experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments.\nPractical experience with Python automation, scripting, and integration.\nExposure to GPU-based workloads, acceleration, or AI infrastructure is a strong advantage.\nSolid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) concepts and frameworks; ITIL 4 certification or equivalent knowledge preferred.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical root cause analysis (RCA) skills.\nExperience contributing to digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 5.0, smart manufacturing, or IoT/IIoT solutions.\nDemonstrated focus on quality assurance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\nStrong awareness of IT compliance and cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001 and CMMC.\nSolid understanding of foundational networking concepts:OSI & TCP/IP models, packet flow, and zero-trust principles.\nNetwork services: DNS, DHCP, NAT, NTP.\nIPv4 addressing, subnetting, and routing fundamentals.\n\nKnowledge of switching technologies:VLANs, trunking, STP, and static vs. dynamic routing.\n\nAbility to install and configure network and connectivity infrastructure, including:Cisco switches, Meraki access points, fiber connections, and IDF/MDF network rooms.\n\nMorgan Advanced Materials is an EEO/AA/M/W/D/V EmployerInd-1\nMorgan Advanced Materials is a business rich in history and innovation.
