Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and business partnering, helping to drive operational performance and support strategic decision-making across the site.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities\nPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for the Stourport site.\nPost month-end journals and support period-end close activities.\nPerform detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.\nSupport the annual budgeting and forecasting process.\nPrepare cash flow forecasts and monitor business performance.\nMaintain and develop the standard costing system, including analysis of cost variances.\nPartner with production, engineering and operational teams to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.\nManage inventory accounting, including stock valuation, obsolescence provisions, intercompany transactions and goods in transit.\nSupport working capital initiatives, helping to reduce inventory levels and improve cash performance.\nProduce timely financial information and meaningful management reports to support decision-making.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations and Group policies.\nSupport capital expenditure projects through financial analysis and investment appraisal.\nWork closely with the Finance Manager to deliver robust forecasts and provide insight into business performance.\nCollaborate with the Shared Service Centre to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.\nQualifications\nQualifications / Experience Required\nPart-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification, with a desire to continue professional development.\nMinimum 2-3 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting.\nStrong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysis.\nExperience with inventory accounting, stock valuation and working capital management.\nProficiency in ERP and financial systems, along with strong Excel skills.\nAbility to analyse complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across Finance, Operations and Engineering teams.\nProactive, self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving efficiencies and supporting business performance.\nPreferred:\nPrevious experience within a manufacturing or engineering organisation.\nExperience partnering closely with operational teams to drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.\nKnowledge of standard costing systems and manufacturing KPIs.\nMorgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
