Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.\nResponsibilities\nProvide engineering support to production teams to ensure output meets the required quality standards.\nBuild strong working relationships with production colleagues to encourage feedback on manufacturing processes.\nSupport the resolution of issues that may delay production.\nMaintain a prompt turnaround of orders and work requests through effective day-to-day workload management.\nImprove manufacturing quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.\nReduce lead times by improving manufacturing efficiency.\nDevelop and introduce improved manufacturing methods to enhance cycle times, workflow and margins.\nAchieve PRIMO project targets, including cost and lead-time reductions.\nWork proactively as part of the engineering team and support a culture of continuous improvement.\nEnsure procedures and process specifications are followed and remain aligned with current company quality approvals.\nUse the corrective action report system effectively as part of problem solving.\nSupport the customer feedback process through root cause analysis and problem solving.\nIdentify and help resolve anomalies in routings and bills of materials.\nSupport sales by assessing the manufacturability of customer enquiries and designs.\nConduct engineering and manufacturing feasibility reviews and provide accurate estimated costs for new and modified products.\nReview current job costs against actual manufacturing information.\nCheck that repeat-order routings reflect batch size and the latest manufacturing methods.\nCreate routings for new products, applying manufacturing best practice and collaborating with production teams.\nInput and maintain standard costing, IFS engineering data, work instructions and standard operating procedures.\nProvide support, coaching and training where required, including for Engineering Apprentices.\nIdentify training and development needs in relevant areas.\nLiaise with subcontractors and suppliers to support cost-effective product manufacture.\nSupport a strong EHS culture and the ThinkSafe initiative across the business.\nQualifications\nStrong experience within a manufacturing environment.\nEffective communication across all levels of the organisation.\nExperience delivering cost reduction and efficiency improvements.\nHNC qualification or above in an engineering or technical discipline.\nStrong problem-solving capability and a track record of achievement.\nGood financial awareness, numerical ability and understanding of budgets.\nProven project management experience.\nLean Six Sigma experience is desirable.\nExperience in batch manufacturing.\nMorgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
