This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives on developing people, solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring operational excellence.\nAs a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily production activities, champion safety and quality standards, and ensure efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials. You will play a critical role in supporting customer expectations while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead & Develop Your Team\nProvide daily leadership, coaching, and support to production employees.\nFoster a positive, respectful, and engaged work environment.\nConduct performance reviews, employee development discussions, and corrective actions when necessary.\nPromote employee training and cross-training to build workforce flexibility and capability.\nServe as a role model for company values, professionalism, and teamwork.\nDrive Production Excellence\nLead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer commitments.\nMonitor productivity, staffing, and workflow to maximize efficiency and performance.\nCoordinate labor resources to meet changing production demands.\nPartner with Production Control, Customer Service, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to resolve operational challenges.\nWork collaboratively with fellow supervisors to optimize plant performance and resource allocation.\nChampion Safety & Quality\nCreate and maintain a culture where safety is the top priority.\nConduct regular observations, coaching, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety requirements.\nEnsure all products meet established quality standards and customer expectations.\nSupport material disposition and quality investigations through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.\nVerify completion of required inspections, testing, and process controls.\nSupport Continuous Improvement\nLead and support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.\nIdentify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost performance.\nEncourage employee involvement in problem-solving and process improvement activities.\nUtilize data and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.\nManage Operations & Resources\nMaintain production records, staffing reports, labor balancing documentation, and overtime tracking.\nManage departmental resources within budget expectations.\nCoordinate staffing coverage for vacations, absences, and unexpected business needs.\nSupport plant objectives and special projects as assigned.\nResponsibilities\nWhat We're Looking For\nEducation & Experience\nOne of the following is preferred:\nAssociate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.\nAdvanced manufacturing training or certification.\nEquivalent combination of manufacturing leadership experience and education.\nKey Qualifications\nProven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and employee development skills.\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nMechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.\nStrong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.\nAbility to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.\nExperience with manufacturing systems and operational reporting tools.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.\nQualifications\nWhy Join Morgan Advanced Materials?\nAt Morgan Advanced Materials, our people are the foundation of our success.
