This role provides exposure to a broad range of corporate accounting functions, including month-end close, account reconciliations, regulatory compliance, treasury activities, and audit preparation.\nThe successful candidate will be a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strong internal controls, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This role works closely with departments across the organization and plays an important part in supporting the Company's ongoing growth and operational excellence.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPrepare month-end journal entries and supporting working papers.\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations and continuity schedules.\nSupport the full-cycle accounting and reporting process across Morgan and its affiliate entities.\nAssist with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.\nAssist with debt accounting and related reconciliations.\nPrepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.\nPrepare GST, HST, PST, and other regulatory filings, including supporting schedules and documentation.\nSupport First Nations partnership commission calculations and related reporting requirements.\nComplete bank reconciliations and assist with treasury and banking activities.\nPrepare audit working papers and support external audit requests.\nSupport the administration of the Company's employee expense management program, including SAP Concur user maintenance, policy compliance monitoring, issue resolution, and employee support.\nReview and reconcile employee out-of-pocket expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate accounting treatment.\nProvide administrative support for the Company's Purchase Order program, including system maintenance, user support, training, and process monitoring.\nInvestigate discrepancies and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.\nAssist with maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and internal controls.\nParticipate in special projects and other corporate accounting initiatives as assigned\n\nWhat You Bring:\nBachelor’s degree or diploma Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.\nExperience working with ERP systems and financial software.\nConstruction, project-based, or industrial industry experience is considered an asset.\nIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\n\nAbout Morgan:\nOver the past 40+ years, Morgan has completed over 5400 heavy civil projects.
