The Non-Producing Branch Manager will reportintothe Market Executive.\nDUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProduct/Business Knowledge:\nHas a thorough understanding of the Firm’s products and those of its strategicpartners;uses this knowledge to provide resources and directionin order todrive sales.\nKnows where the resources are; able to direct the sales force to the right resources in an efficient manner as to make the sales process more efficient.\nEffectively applies product/business knowledge to recruiting efforts; able to “translate” competitor offerings into Morgan Stanley Wealth Managementproducts, andunderstand and explain how a recruit will be able to continue to help meet their clients’ needs.\nSales/Marketing:\nSeeks opportunities to grow business and drive sales by capitalizing on firm initiatives; focuses on building strong relationships with corporate departments and strategic partners to achieve the marketing efforts of the Branch.\nDrives corporate marketing initiatives to help increase market share inHigh Net Worthhouseholds.\nTeam Building:\nBuilds effective teams by constantly communicating relevant information ona timelybasis and conducting regular meetings.\nParticipates in Region and Market initiatives, including sales, hiring, recruitment, diversity, and community outreach.\nResponsible for growing their branch through hiring, lateralrecruitingand training.\nLeadership:\nLeads by example by ensuring that the Branch Manager’s office is consistently achieving the\nobjectivesof the US Wealth ManagementGroup,maintainsa positive morale, has a strongtrack recordof growth, has ethical business practices, anddemonstratesa commitment to diversity and respect for others.\nLeads proactively byidentifyingtrends, potential areas of growth and weakness and addressing these areasin order topositively position the Region within the geographic market.\nLeads Branch effortsofSales andresults.\nIdentifies key talent in the Branch, positions and develops that talent, and encourages those individuals toparticipatein the leadership of the Branch and Region.\nLeverages the resources of the Firm to achieve the highest level of success.\nActs as a coach and mentor for Financial Advisorsin order todrive results.\nAccountability:\nAccountable for the Branch’s sales performance and financial performance.\nResponsible for regulatory, legal and compliance issuesincluding:Risk management for the Branchin regards tomonitoring sales, human resources, and legal and regulatory practices.\nResponsible forestablishinga core compliance model in offices under supervision.\nResponsible for following supervisory procedures as outlined in the Branch Manager’s Supervisory Manual\nResponsible for executing the Annual Supervisory Plan.\nResponsible for effectively communicating the status of performance and issues to the Market Executive\nEducation and/or Experience\n5 or more years of related experience and/or training includingdemonstratedsuccess managing a substantial branch office or equivalent.\nLicenses andRegistrations\nActive Series 7, 8 (or 9 and 10), 66 (or 63 and 65) and 3 registrations (Series 31 acceptable if branch conducts managed futures business only)\nOther licenses asrequiredfor role or by management\nSkills\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to think critically\nAbility to manage a team\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to interact with senior management team, Financial Advisors, support staff,clientsand corporate and field personnel as needed\nAbility to own projects at a Branch level\nAbility to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete projects\nReports to:\nDirect: Market Executive\nDirect Reports:\nFinancial Advisors, Branch Support Staff, and in some circumstances Resident Manager and/or Producing Branch Managers.\nThis list is meant to be directional and should not be considered complete, as it may be supplemented on an as needed basis.\n*All candidates should verify that they meet the minimum eligibility requirements prior to applying.\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:\nAt Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients - helping them reach their goals.
