Join our team as a Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Alpharetta Georgia!\nWe are looking for a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of modern networking, especially in complex, high-security environments.\nWhat You'll Do in the role:\nDesign, implement, and maintain large, secure network infrastructures across Campus, Branch, Data Center, and WAN environments, for both production and non-production. Lead efforts to separate and secure networks, helping ensure robust security and smooth business operations.\nWork closely with business and technical teams to explain risks to larger groups and implement the network designs.\nDevelop and execute comprehensive network implementation plans, with security and stability in mind.\nSupport the full lifecycle of network devices, from deployment and ongoing support through decommissioning.\nBuild automation for repetitive network tasks using tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform. \n8+ years of networking experience, ideally in financial services, technology vendors, or systems integrators.\nHands-on experience across Campus, Branch, Data Center, and WAN networks.\nExpertise with Ethernet technologies (STP, 802.1x, VPC, Multilayer Switching, Leaf-Spine IP Fabric).\nDeep knowledge of IP routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP) and multicast (PIM, IGMP, MSDP).\nHands-on experience with Cisco ASR, Nexus, Catalyst and Arista switches, and network operating systems (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR, Arista EOS).\nStrong background in network security concepts, multi-tier security architectures, and best practices for segmenting production and non-production networks.\nExperience with network tools such as Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, and SevOne.\nFamiliarity with project/task management tools like JIRA, especially Agile/Kanban methods.\nStrong scripting skills; able to independently develop solutions for repetitive network tasks.\nWeekend support for the change implementation is needed.\nWhat you’ll bring to the role:\nSome AI experience, such as using simple LLM-based tools to analyze networks.\nUNIX or Linux skills.\nCCIE or similar certifications.\nKnowledge of wireless infrastructure, SDN, SD-WAN, DMVPN, and public cloud.\nPreferred - Strong grasp of security concepts (defense in depth, zero trust, least privilege, risk controls).\nExperience working on enterprise-level initiatives with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures.\nExperience with optical equipment such as Adva/Ciena.\nExperience with timing infrastructure such as Spectracom/Meinberg.\nWho You Are\nA clear communicator with excellent presentation skills.\nA team player who can also work independently on large-scale projects.\nFlexible, reliable, and dedicated to delivering results.\nSomeone who takes ownership and accountability for your work.\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:\nAt Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients - helping them reach their goals.
