The ideal candidate will be expected to gain expertise in several components of this etrading platform and take full ownership of their assignments from requirements gathering to rollout. The nature of the application development tasks could include adding business logic, new services, maintenance, bug fix, QA automation or framework development.\nWhat you’ll do in the role:\nDrive innovation and excellence in software design and architecture, promoting best practices and ensuring high quality software development.\n\nPartner with business leaders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.\n\nDefine and implement strategies for optimizing software development processes and workflows.\n\nProvide strategic direction for software engineering function, setting long-term objectives.\n\nEvaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and methodologies to improve efficiency.\n\nRepresent the software engineering function in executive meetings and planning sessions.\n\nWhat you’ll bring to the role:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n\nMinimum 10 years of relevant software development experience.\n\nStrong Core Java development experience (JDK 21+ would be beneficial)\n\nDevelopment experience in object-oriented programming and working with mixture of new and legacy systems\n\nGood problem-solving, result-focused, can-do attitude, and strong focus to keep the business running and competitive.\n\nAbility to work in a team as individual contributor\n\nExposure to AMP/Claude Code or similar AI tools would be beneficial\n\nFixed Income domain knowledge.
