We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.\nThis role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.\nABOUT THE TEAM\nThe Application Support and Automation team at Parametric:\nWe are responsible for supporting all of the production applications at Parametric. This includes on-prem and cloud based proprietary and off the shelf applications.\nThe automation team is responsible for developing and maintaining all inbound and outbound file transmissions and internal automations.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nOur Production Support team acts as the front line for issues involving all business critical applications, including Parametric proprietary software, open source commodity middleware, cloud deployed sites and network intersections with hosted solutions. Qualified senior level candidates will have a passion for IT, with excellent communication and organization skills, and be capable of working in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment. Financial services background is strongly encouraged. High energy, a can do attitude, and intense curiosity is required.\nThis role fulfills issue triage for production IT operations/sysops/devops,\nExpedites repetitive tasks for end users while working with development to deploy automation\nExplores data stores and derives ad hoc reports and KPI’s \nDeploy software as part of the change and release management process.\nEducate end users regarding new or misunderstood features.\nParticipate in the continuous improvement process by highlighting new issues to development. \nInvestigate logs and correlate failures between applications and databases\nUnderstand and demonstrate mastery of internal applications used for the daily business cycles (research, analysis, trading, accounting)\nAs a senior member of the team you'll have an opportunity to craft new processes and revise existing documented workflows and aligning daily tasks to your personal efficiencies\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES\nTriage and resolve tickets for supported systems and applications.\nProvide troubleshooting expertise for all aspects of an application including vendor and custom built apps.\nDevelop and maintain knowledge base articles\nFollow established procedures for managing business risk when updating production systems.\nCreate and update process automation.\nParticipate in projects that enhance or upgrade Parametric systems or employee experience.\nWorking as part of a team provide complete 24/7 support to the production environment including being a member of an on-call rotation\nEnhance the monitoring and oversite of applications to ensure proactive alerting where possible.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\n6 years of relevant professional experience.\n4 years experience with SQL including writing and understanding queries.\nExperience supporting a 24/7 environment.\nExperience with DevOps practices including Octopus, JIRA, Confluence or equivalent platforms.\nScripting/automation and continuous improvement experience is a plus.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills targeted to a variety of audiences including technical and non-technical users.\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, social environment, yet be able to work independently as necessary.\nPrevious experience supporting line of business applications is a plus.\nExperience supporting a Windows based environment including basic server administration.\nExperience with Linux/UNIX based platforms is a plus.\nExperience with Powershell or other scripting languages is a plus.\nPatience and attention to detail is essential.\nFinancial industry experience is a plus.\nParametric believes each member of our organization makes a significant contribution to our success.
