This includes portfolio construction, backtesting, transition analysis and other analytical tools.\nAs part of the Quantitative Development team, the Senior Research Software Engineer will be responsible for modernizing existing applications, building new applications and ensuring compliance with SDLC requirements.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nWork closely with the business unit and other team members to understand and document requirements\nDesign and develop integration solutions with 3rd party data providers and systems\nShare experience, knowledge, and ideas to the team to improve processes and productivity\nCreate unit/integration/functional tests\nFollow our development process and guidelines\nConduct code reviews of other developers, merge-request reviews\nFollow technology trends/tools and recommend improvements to our technology when appropriate\nAct as the security expert for the development team by advocating for secure coding practices and implementing security related features\nResponsible for researching and implementing software development initiatives that are cross functional and may be passed off to other groups later\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\n5+ years of experience developing cloud native applications\nPython design and development experience is a plus\nExperience with object-oriented coding languages such as C# or Java\nAbility to work well in a highly social and collaborative environment\nStrong knowledge of various AWS cloud services like ECS, S3, Batch, EC2\nIn depth experience with various message streaming technologies like Kafka\nSolid understanding of Docker containerization\nIaaS familiarity, working knowledge of Terraform\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as GIT or SVN\nWorking experience with agile development\nFamiliarity with continuous integration and build tools\nWorking knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.\nProven track record of becoming a subject matter expert in areas related to current assignments\nEffective communication skills with business users and other developers\nFamiliarity with AI and related technologies, with the ability to apply them in a business or technical context\nParametric believes each member of our organization makes a significant contribution to our success. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
