Every day, you’ll work with team members across disciplines developing products for investors. You’ll interact daily with our product managers to understand our domain and create technical solutions that push us forward. We want to work with other engineers who bring knowledge and excitement about our opportunities. This position is based in our Mumbai office.\nResponsibilities\n\nBuild well-designed, well-engineered, stable, scalable products across a variety of markets \nFollow software design best practices such as continuous integration, test-driven development, and regular deployments.\nSolve investors’ problems with technology, understanding market chaos at work and crafting technically appropriate interactive experiences to communicate effectively with individual investors.\nBe passionate about quality, process, programming, and investing in general, seeing opportunities for improvement, seizing them, and then sharing your findings with others.\nFamiliarity or desire to become an AWS certified developer\nTake ownership of the success of the team with a \"get things done\" attitude; the ability to understand and leverage new technologies, potentially wearing many hats including business analyst, DBA, QA, and project manager.\nAnalyze and remediate production issues and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the systems architecture.\nEnforce good Agile practices (using JIRA) including test-driven development and continuous integration.\nHelp to shape product vision\nStay up to date on emerging technologies.\nPromote usability and coding best practices.\nRequirements\nA bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with 1 to 2 years of software development experience.\n1+ years of experience developing commercial quality web applications and/or scalable APIs.\nExperience with designing and building full-stack web applications.\nSolid experience with C# , the Microsoft .Net stack and AWS stack. Should have experience with the following technologies: Web APIs, MVC, Unity, Entity Framework, LINQ, Asynchronous programming, SQL Server, .NET 8, AWS stack (Lambda, Fargate, SQS, Postgress).\nAdvanced knowledge in XML programming\nMust be able to write good unit tests\nAn understanding of how to protect web applications from common security vulnerabilities.\nKnowledge of object-oriented design, domain modeling, design patterns, and building highly scalable and available systems.\nBe organized and able to remain productive even when you have multiple deliverables.\nExperience working in Scrum-based methodologies a plus.\nHighly motivated individual with the potential and desire to learn new technologies and take on an increasing level of responsibility within the technology team.\nAbility to work independently, communicates effectively, and produces superior results.\nMorningstar is an equal opportunity employer.\nIf you receive and accept an offer from us, we require that personal and any related investments be disclosed confidentiality to our Compliance team (days vary by region).
