You will be responsible formanaging the implementation, delivery, and improvement of our digital product, while increasing the team’s skills and performance.\nJob Responsibilities:\nLead a team of developers who work with various technologies across our software environment (.Net,AWS, EKS, GithubCopilot).\n\nCollaborate with product management team to establishproduct related tasks and schedules.\n\nCollaborate with Software Architects, Product Managers, and Head of Software Development Team to make technical stack and architecture decisions.\n\nAct as the business expert on technical and functional components.\n\nDevelop solutions using the best technology available for each scenario.\n\nReview code and give feedback to help development sub-team grow and embrace efficient and sustainable development practice.\n\nEnsure the development team adheres to establishedcoding standards and embraces efficient and robust engineering practices.\n\nEnsure the solution is implemented, involving other development teams as needed, focusing on coordinating their activities.\n\nUsing Agile methodology, lead the development through various stages of App lifecycle.\n\nBuild/maintainthe relationship with other software development teams, act as a point of contact and continuously assess the interdependencies, communicate changes and plans across the organization.\n\nWork within an Agile software development framework setting including developers, andQA to release functionality on a regular basis.\n\nEnsure the development team adheres to establishedcoding standards and embraces efficient and robust engineering practices\n\nPartner with Software Architects, Product Management team to contribute to the technical direction of the product team;\n\nAssist Director of Tech in employee performance evaluation and coaching.\n\nAssist Director of Tech in designing and implementing new evaluation metrics and participatein goal setting.\n\nEvaluate and improve the technical skills of software developers.\n\nContribute and develop solutions based on requirements using the best technology available for each scenario and in the estimated timeframe.\n\nImplement unit and integration tests.\n\nQualifications\n7+ yearswork experience, 6 years relevant experience developing solutions and managing development teams.\n\n4+ years’of experience with:.NET, database domain models, n-layered design, OOP; experience with ASP.NET Core 3.1, .NET Core 3.1.\n\n2+ years’of experience with Angular 2+ and TypeScript.\n\nExperience with IdentityServer4, Microservices, Docker, Serilog.\n\nPreferable experience with Node Package Manager, Nuget, Xunit, MOQ.\n\nGood business acumen and business process knowledge.\n\nGood project management and communication skills (SCRUM experience is a plus).\n\nStrong data related skills (relational data sets, queries).\n\nExcellent English written and verbal communication skills.\n\nGood timemanagement and customer relationship skills.\n\nSolid understanding of software development life cycle.\n\nProven ability to appreciate and understand technical environments in a business context.\n\nExperience in working with complex interdependent processes and departments.\n\nStrong collaboration, time-management, and prioritization skills are critical to the success of this role.\n\nSelf-motivated, excellent work ethic, strong interpersonal and English communication skills, ability to work in a team environment.\n\nExperience supporting and maintaininglive software applications that supports a global user base as well as working experience debugging unfamiliar code\n\nExperience with Agile methodologyand tools like Jira would be a plus.\n\nWorking experience with Git, CI/CDand AWSCloud services\n\nExperience working with large datasets and various relational DBMS platforms (PostgreSQL, MS SQL - SQL / PL-SQL) and ETL tools.\n\nLeverage AI-powered software engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Amazon Q) to accelerate code development, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews while maintaininghigh standardsof quality and security.\n\nDrive adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the SDLC, establishingbest practices, governance, and measurable productivity improvements for engineering teams.\n\nMorningstar is an equal opportunity employer.\nMorningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to collaborate in-person each week as we've found that we're at our best when we're purposely together on a regular basis.
